“Had a fantastic time at the Robin Hood. Friday night Karaoke ? played really good tunes between singers (the singers were pretty good too). Saturday night was music night, which again was really good. The locals & staff were very friendly & welcoming.”

Great breakfast, spotlessly clean, great location.
Excellent friendly hosts, very attentive and any requests you have are no problem.

Rooms: Very clean room, very clean en suite, comfy beds with all you need.
Had a wonderful relaxing time / sleep.

Nearby activities: Take in the Buddhist temple and Barrow Park.

Safety: Very safe secure accommodation.

Food and drinks: Breakfast is fantastic and if you don't want a full English there's a great selection of cereals / fruit etc.
I am sure you could ask for anything and it would be provided.”

“My little boy has trouble getting to sleep and sleeping through. We have used advise from several sleep charities which helped with getting him to sleep and then how to tackle night wakings. After failing to find a charitable source for a weighted blacket which we could try first before buying I finally conceded that I would have to just buy one. This charity was prompt in responding to me and even volunteered additional information to refine our current routine! We received our blanket very quickly, my son loves it as the fabrics are soft and in calming colours of a pattern he is fond of.. Best of all he has slept through!! Thanks a million to the team for all your care and help xx”

“Consistently good service every time I have visited. Friendly and helpful. Good location and is a popular destination. My one slight criticism is a lack of a cupboard or drawers to put my clothes in, which is a shame as that would've hit the 5 stars. But still recommended.”

“If your looking for a cheap drink and food look no further, above average for the normal Witherspoon's. Great Witherspoon's nice building ,it's on the main drag into Barrow, ideal for people watching, Can't fault this great bar, great food and also a fantastic choice of beers, fantastic menu and food as stated is first class, we have eaten in the restaurant on numerous occasions and it is consistently very good, the staff are very friendly and very attentive and helpful and more than happy to go that extra mile no matter how busy the bar gets. Well done guys.”

“Awarding this a 4* due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, decent and secure car parking, clean rooms, and a ridiculously low price – even for the upgraded room.

What I didn’t particularly like was a window that couldn’t be opened (new regs, I understand), an overwhelming smell (and rumble) of air freshener/conditioning unit throughout (give me fresh air any day!), and only one set of towels and refreshments, when the room was being occupied by 2 people. Yes, you could ask for anything – and we had to. I don’t mind the option of asking for the room to be serviced, if staying for more than one night, and we are more than capable of making a bed. But it would have been nice to at least have been automatically given a new day’s worth of refreshments in the room, seeing as this was one of the perks of the upgrade. Or are these things just per visit??? Little touches go a long way, and this felt very much like a business-type in/out hotel. But excellent value, nonetheless.

Ps Breakfast at the Bewrers Fayre next door was poor, and we were so glad that we didn’t “upgrade” to the dinner option!
