“We stopped here on the way to Scotland for a light lunch and the hotel / restaurant was amazing - lovely seating area outside, great menu with lots of great choices - very fast service and excellent food which was extremely well presented. They even have a little Geleto place out front where you can buy teas, coffees and cake and ice cream - we will defo stop here again on our travels 10/10 from us!”

“Went to the Sandford Arms this evening (Thursday evening) and it was steak night. The pub was very busy already at 18.30 but the front of house, Ellie, was coping with an incoming group, food ordering and service, bar service and payments with great calm and good humour. I hope her employers look after her well (hey Dad !!!).
As it was steak night, the BosS had a well done rump steak (£10.00) and I had a ribeye medium (£12.50).
We are in the outside yard. The food arrived in good time and was excellent. Plates were emptied.
I had Wainwrights pint which was also excellent.
The pub is a member of the BII which is a guarantee of good quality.
Highly recommend and thank you Ellie for your excellent customer service. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area and parking available”

“We visited this pub for dinner tonight. We wasn't disappointed. Good food the kids also loved it.
Portion sizes were great.
The food was well worth the visit. Friendly staff and a nice feel to the pub. Was a nice end to our holiday here ❤️”

“I would normally give this hotel 5* but there were some niggly bits that just pushed it down. WiFi is just about usable....constantly dropping out with very poor signal. Some people may think this is not an issue but if you are staying while working a stable WiFi connection is everyday expectation. My room was more than adequate however squeezing a toilet between a jacuzzi bath and a wall just does not cut it with me. Dispense of the bath as in this day and age of Legionella awareness they are not that inviting. Shower was very slow and erratic.Food was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. One small issue was the plate at breakfast was so hot it gave me a sun tan.”
