Great bakery and cafe located at Ambleside. One of the first spots next to the main carpark within the town and one of the best. The bakery is fantastic plenty of choice. Took my friend here, the food was excellent and we loved it. The interiors were also really cosy. However, through no fault of his own the waiter serving us accidentally knocked a hot drink over the table which unfortunately really scalded my friend. **We don't take reservations** The Apple Pie Shop and Bakery. The counter is stocked up every morning with fresh products brought down from the onsite craft bakery. We serve up sandwiches made on our bread bread, with salad and filling or your choice wrapped up in a box ready to go in your rucksack or picnic box. We have hot pasties and premium pies combined with a range of over 20 cakes to satisfy any sugar cravings. Traditional tray bakes are available alongside indulgent cream cakes and seasonal delights such as mince pies, hot cross buns, and not forgetting our famous apple pie.
