You can't ring up and make a routine appointment.. have to use an online form between 7am and 10am... such a ridiculous system that isnt patient friendly. Patients should be able to ring when they get a chance to so they can make a routine appointment which can then be booked for a day and time suitable to them.. what is the point of submitting a form online then waiting for a phone call at any point in the day when you might not be available to answer. We can't all sit by the phone all day waiting for that precious call! Other surgeries allow you to ring and make an appointment for in the near future, why can't you?? Also the receptionists here are like robots.. you're human beings - act like it!! I know a number of GP receptionists at other surgeries and they're much more friendly to their patients.

Why do away with the old booking system?. With the old Patient access app, you could at least book non urgent phone consultations with a Doctor of your choice on a day of your choice, albeit booking a few weeks in advance to be able to have the luxury to do so but it worked well for non urgent / consultation phone appointments where you want continuity of the treatment with the same Doctor. That Patient access based system recently seems to have been switched off.Under the new system, you have to rock up to use the 'one size fits all' same day Web based appointment system with all of the very urgent cases, even though you already know that your own enquiry is not urgent and would easily wait a week or two.How does that even make sense?, Far better to have kept the non urgent consultations and urgent same day appointments from concerned patients who are ill or those in pain separate? if only to reduce the workload on their reception staff having to filter the urgent & non urgent cases through the one channel. In the end I just got disillusioned with the new process, as there was no obvious way of booking a simple phone consultation with the GP I needed to speak too, even non urgently and who know my condition and history and degrees of success with various treatments already tried, which if I was given the opportunity to do so, would probably only take one minute to sort out. Instead I have to spend most of the appointment explaining my condition to a Doctor who i've never seen before, who hasn't bothered to read my notes and history and probably who won't be there tomorrow. Absolutely no continuity of treatment for those of us who have to manage the symptoms daily. So I just buy my medication online from overseas.

I was too poorly to attend the surgery, and a Paramedic Practitioner was sent to my home. He gave me a thorough examination and diagnosed the flu. What a great service! The receptionist was very understanding and contacted me several times. Lovely, friendly surgery.

Great service. All the online stuff is very slick and get seen to promptly. Never had an issue with anything or anyone at the surgery. Can?t understand the negative comments.

What on earth is going on with reception, the terrible and useless booking system, always having doctors on the phone, the surgery being almost empty, inability to get appointments or prebook it, it is as if they are purposely trying to stop patients from using it and forget they are not their dictates but to be of service to them as they are paid to do so. Lack of common sense, the staff are like talking to a brick wall, good luck in sorting anything. It is like being in a Little Britain Sketch.

We recently registered our family here as we'd moved to the area. The registration process was straight forward, all done online, and I had a text within 48hrs saying the process was complete. Today I had to use the surgery for our daughter. Spoke with reception, directed to fill out the online form, and submitted photos and information etc. I was concerned as it said they'd get back to me within 2 days, but less than 2 hours later a GP called me (Dr Buckley, I think). Polite, friendly and professional, information and reassuring. Great service, and I'm glad we've moved to this GP surgery as I know many struggle to access health care. Thank you everyone!

I cannot praise this surgery enough and we are so lucky to have such a surgery in Congleton. The service and care provided to my family is the best I have ever experienced having been all over the UK. Thanks to all of the team

The processes in place are not well thought through with customer care in mind. Having recently come out of hospital having had an acute asthma attack I re ordered a salbutamol inhaler, as I have misplaced the one recently prescribed. Instead of a quick call to me to resolve I get a text advising my request was denied as I am reordering too early. Having now already waited a few days I am told I have to send a note advising I have lost the inhaler and they will arrange a replacement. Having had to hold for some time I had started to walk to the surgery and I had to complete a form and have been advised it should be available to collect tomorrow. I know I have lost it, but maybe it just shows more than one should be prescribed, because really what am I going to do with it overdose!!! This could be life saving but at the very least keeps me out of hospital. You save more money keeping out of hospital than the cost of an inhaler where has the patient care gone !!
