It's just getting worse and worse with bank branches. They're closing down all over the country and reducing opening times and staff even in cities like Chester = customer service is getting worse/more inconvenient not better. Opening times used to be 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and 10am to 4 pm on Sat now it's just 9.30am to 3pm M-F and cash machines only on Sat. It won't be long before they completely close the Chester branch.

Attrocious.First time I want in to transfer money I was treated like a leaper. Had to wait an hour to sit with a banker.Second time I tried to arrange a scheduled appointment and they didn't have anything available FOR A MONTH. So I went in person - had to wait over an hour to sit with a banker.Third time trying to move money under the online limits and I get a text from Barclays asking me to respond - accept my SMS text service won't send a text to their number.I've had an account for 30+ years. This is attrocious. Negative stars if I could.

There needs to be an great deal of awareness about urtisum so others feel they are given the right help were it is a less load area asked if they are ok for the bank lady or male to look at them when speaking or rather not look ? talk not so fast so the customer can understand what help is given for your banking matters account as the staff aren?t getting to understand the help for people with urtisum there are different types of urtisum

Everytime I want to deposit money I get told I can't use the machine past 2pm as someone had locked all the boxes? And now they have changed the closing times to 3pm?I work nights and I can't get to the bank early in the morning as I'm either still at work or I'm asleepIt's ridiculous

Went in to collect some currency ordered online to be told no counter service on Saturday(was never advise online when ordered) and staff had no access to the safe. Seems there's very little human help now. Seem to want to make everything digital. Looks like it's time to find a better bank as only reason to use them is now gone.

Horrendous customer service. Tried to open a joint account to be told to come back an hour later as the lady was the only one that could do it - returned to find she still couldn?t be bothered to help us and we would have an open ended wait time! While there at least a dozen people asked for assistance to be given the same lacklustre response of ?No you can?t do that?, irrespective of their query. Worst customer service I have encountered in any industry.

Checked opening hours. Travelled 40-mins to Chester branch to make a transaction to then be told the till closed at 2.30 !! Unbelievable. 3-staff that I could see and a queue of 5 waiting to be offered no service.Service levels that would bust most normal businesses but they still jog along and make their millions?.

First visit to Barclays Chester in more than a decade, wouldn't chose to go again as machines don?t like me, a very helpful staff member had to assist as the machine literally wouldn?t recognise my touch, will avoid in future if possible. Barclays bring back real people please, new service doesn?t cut it!

I asked to make an appointment to see an advisor but no appointments until June today is 5th April!!I waited 15 minutes yesterday to be told this. Today 20mins to speak to a member of staff. This was mid morning. Eight people in a queue for the cashier. Please get more than 2 staff on duty before you loose more customers. I feel sorry for the staff trying to cope!

After 2 hours I couldn?t deposit money into my own account, I couldn?t make a credit card since there was a system error, I couldn?t open an account for my wife because a ?water bill? isn?t proof of residence while gas and electric are, time wasted
