“I phoned this company with a single, simple query about a desk. I wanted to know about a specific feature and what it meant. Customer services said they would find out and get back to me. They didn't. I tried on two other occasions, I was told the same.I really wanted the desk, so I configured the desk on their website without the feature I queried about. I paid £699 and I received an automated receipt for the order.A month went by, I expected some lead time to receiving the desk, I emailed customer services to find out if they have any idea when I that would be—I didn't want to call them because of the previous experience I had with them. They hadn't replied to my email this time, or even acknowledged my query.Or this is what I thought. A few days later, customer services called me and asked me to check my Junk email, a place I hardly ever look. A month old email was in there from them with the estimated delivery date.If I hadn't had the initial telephone experience with them, phone calls would have been made and this wouldn't have become such a big problem.I received the desk in the morning, on time and just before starting work, which was ideal. The desk was assembled with great care by the installers and they took away all the packaging (The desks arrive well packaged to avoid any damage).What started out as quite frustrating experience was resolved and handled professionally, I am very happy with my new home work station.”

“This place is lethal - I went in for a pack of paintbrushes and came out 100 quid lighter! Even if you aren't particularly creative, meandering through this place puts ideas in your head and, before you know it, you have bought everything you need to become a master wedding cake decorator or decoupage expert.Take my advice - only use cash and leave your bank cards where you can't reach them! This place is the equivalent of a cult; the staff are so nice, friendly and knowledgeable, you too will be taken in by its siren song and, when you come to at home, you will be surrounded by tissue paper, crochet needles, packs of multicoloured card and a hot glue gun.”

“By far the the best UK business for high quality carpentry tools. Truly magnificent, huge store with great layout. Plenty of Veritas saws from Canada and Kirschen chisels from Germany. Lots of supplies for routing, planing, turning, and any other way of manipulating wood that exists. Dust extraxtors and very large table saws are also on offer. If you enjoy carpentry and woodworking, simply forget what companies like Screwfix or Toolstation offer in this respect and head straight here.”

“I've been thinking about changing the carpet in one of my bedrooms and have visited a number of stores recently. My experiences have varied drastically, from sales people smothering me with attention to others treating me like I'm invisible. That all changed when I visited Carpetright! The lady who approached me was very helpful and gave me the perfect amount of space so I felt no pressure in making up my mind. The store was very tidy as well, which I like. A first rate experience and the carpet looks great.”

“Went to high Wycombe to get a new suit, went into several stores and could not get a 52inc jacket to go with a suit! One owner said if I went to Matalan I would get one there ! So off I went and loo and behold I found one ! The first one did not fit so the staff went to have a look for a one in the store room! And it was a good fit ! Everything that you could want or need to create a beautiful sanctuary!I got the lights and picture frame that I wanted.The purpose of our visit was to have the afternoon tea, which is definitely value for money! The drinks, scone, clotted cream & jam were delicious.However, there were a few disappointing areas. Hence the 4 stars.The tables were not wiped when trays were taken away. The seats were very dirty and could do with a steam clean. It is a food rea after all and should be cleaned to a high standard. I believe that the Greenford store cafe is much cleaner.”

“Attempted for click and collect just now but the item couldn’t be found. It was there but gone missing. I had to wait there more than 30 minutes however a manager came and arranged free delivery a day after so not much of an issue.Whilst waiting for them to sort my order I purchased couple of lawn seeds and fertiliser, easy to identify the items and quick check out.staff we’re apologetic and friendly.I returned home without what I came for but happy it will be sorted soon. Whilst I am waiting few others got their click and collect sorted straightaway so mine would be a one off incident. Staff attitude is what really matters. Will recommend.”

“Served by Hajrah on the 25/09/23 High Wycombe store. No fuss, straight to the point. Couldn't show us the item we wanted in store but very helpful. Went through purchase and delivery options and selected deliver date. Delivery was prompt and efficient on the day with very helpful Delivery Men. Old Chest Freezer removed and taken away with new one put in its place. Excellent service all round as it should be.”
