“Little up hill battle with them as to fitting my battery as said not bought from them therefore wouldn't fit. Nothing on site that I could find saying only if purchased from them and eventually manager said would allow fit only if exactly as in car. Sad but was the same and then fitted battery. For nil was happy to pay £20 for fit but as a Halfords premium customer said was free. Shame though I needed to go through as the hassle just to get my battery fitted. As advertised fitting for £20 nothing made clear only if battery supplied from Halfords. Halfords couldn't supply the battery spec that I wanted so purchased elseware . And customer services extreamly poor with any help sad experience from Halfords although finally resolved in the end..”

“It's hard not to like HMV but it's also hard to understand how it's still in existence. When I stepped in there it felt like being transported back to the 90s . Rows of CDs and Vinyl . T shirts of Bands and posters . It almost feels like a museum as for me it contains nothing I need but was interesting to look at . Asides from this it is a nice store with friendly staff .”

“Fantastic service from start to finish! I went in needing three different paints mixing but wasn’t 100% sure what I was doing. “I dropped in on the off chance that they might have spare tiles from a discontinued Regal range, which I had purchased from the Oxford Road store the week before. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service provided by Pauline. Although they didn’t have the tiles in stock, she swiftly and efficiently located matching tiles at the Slough store. Pauline ensured the batch and sizes were precise and even arranged to have them reserved for me. I will definitely return when we decide on the wall tiles we need.”

“We had a partial bathroom refurbishment and are very happy with the service provided and the result. Gary (the owner) provided a design plan at the beginning and a list of product info attached to the quote, which was very helpful to make a decision; he agreed to do a partial bathroom revamp to meet our budget needs. We had a brand new bath, digital shower and waterproof panels installed, and are very happy with the quality and excellent finish.Gary and his team did a great job from start to finish, and we cannot wait to have the rest of the bathroom revamped in the near future!”

“The M4 roundabout is shut. Traffic is at a standstill because of the roadworks - not sure why people seem to think that’s Ikea’s fault - it’s every bit as difficult to get out of Sainsbury’s!!!! Took us about 30 minutes to get through first thing this morning but it was only going to get worse because of the amount of people going to the retail park. If you want to complain you should go to the roads and highways - they’re responsible for the road closures!!!”

If the products fail, like our well loved instant-pot multicooker, the service is excellent - no quibble refund, so we just purchased another from Lakeland - mainly because of their guarantee. I would have been happy with a repair, so its a shame the old machine had to be sent back but overall I am very happy. Much better than buying from Amazon with their limited warranties.”

“This review goes out to Anthony in particular. I went to the Wolseley branch in Reading to sort an issue out where a previous plumbers used a bonding agent to seal the trap and the back nut. It was a nightmare but Anthony behind the till was very eager to help me and sort this issue out with a piece of rubber and grips.
