“A deserving review for excellent care and customer service. My local pharmacy, along with 3-4 others, did not have and were unable to order a medicine prescribed for my baby. Not only was the phone answered (many others rang out), but the medication was ordered and i got a call to confirm the order and again the next morning once it had arrived. “I love that Smarta helps me and my carers with my medication by putting them into Dosette boxes, giving my carers more time to help with my other needs, the only down side for me is they state on there website open 24/7 356 but are closed at the weekends, which is a pain at times as I get frequent UTI’s and being housebound makes it a pain to get antibiotics delivered, I’ve had two ambulance crew collect Antibiotics for me in the past, and don’t feel this is a good use for an already overstretched service, but at the same time stops me ending up in A&E within a matter of days to 24 hours, as I can go from very chatty to unresponsive in a matter of hours. Other than that they are a fabulous service a great team always ready to help the best they can.”

“The staff are always friendly and professional no matter how busy they are. When collecting multiple prescriptions each and every item is checked off personally by Mr Patel to ensure accuracy. The pharmacy is always busy however each customer is served as if they are the only person in the shop, normally with a smile and the que processed briskly. 5 Star service Mr Patel!”

Good range of mothercare clothes, the rest of the store towards the photo area feels a bit dead and the shelves look as though the store is shutting down, very empty. Would be nice to have someone around the skincare area as you sometimes need help or recommendation of a product. The town centre is bedford is dead and this seems to have impacted the store”

They, along with most pharmacies in the country, have suffered from a shortage of supplies - it's not their fault and they have offered me practical advice as to how to overcome shortages to the point of contacting other pharmacies in the area.The whole team work very well together and have managers who certainly know their trade.”

“It's boots. You go there for yourself care and toiletries. They also have an opticians at the back of the store.I did find some items are hard to get a hold of, but that might be supply issues as they haven't removed the labels from the shelves.”

“A great little pharmacy located in the middle of town. The staff are really friendly and the pharmacist always makes time to help if needed. I've been getting my prescriptions dispensed there for many years and quite frankly I won't use another pharmacy as long as I have the choice.”

“I have been using The Village Pharmacy for (coming up) 14 years, at first it was situated within the surgery & although small they still catered to the needs of locals. There were no shops, nothing. The school wasn't even built & still they needed a sign stating "only 2 children at a time" (unless accompanied by am adult) because it was the only place kids could get their sweets & us parents to gran milk, bread or other little essentials for day to day living. Then theny expanded into a portable cabin, not much bigger than original setting but again they catered to all medical & basic staples. Then the Mieklejohn centre was born & finally The Village Pharmacy could focus on being a Pharmacy rather than being over run by kids. Did they ever complain? No! Even during times of frustration they remained professional & courteous knowing that it was a situation the public couldn't control. Now all I see & here is grown adults moaning & complaining about a carpark issue that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Pharmacy. They didn't implement the changes nor did they cause it. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if half the people throwing their toys out their pram are the same people that were abusing the use of the carpark that lead to the restrictions! It is & has always been for the use of patients attending the surgery & not for parents to use as a drop off/pick up zone. People need to stop hounding the Pharmacy about it, your grievance is with the carpark owners NOT the pharmacy! Oh and the owners are not rude or cold, quite the opposite. I'd give the business & the staff (past & present) 10 stars if I could.”

“My surgery was closed, had to call 111, but they couldn't help me, so directed me to this pharmacy. After 2 min talk with tall Asian looking guy with glasses (dont know the name sorry) he gave my daughter the right medicine which helped her straight away! Saved me time sitting in A&E. “Since moving here recently from America, and suffering seizures from brain injury in US we collect my meds here at the Avicenna pharmacy. The lady's who work here are 2nd to no one! They have all become dear to our hearts! These are incredible woman who I watch go through a great deal of stress each day, there kindness is so important to us. Living under a lot of stress ourselves and it feels like they are true family, and we know these wonderful young lady's truly care about us, ladies thank you so much for just being there for all of us in the community.
