Not as good as it used to be. It seems they stock less books now and more games and stuff. The UK Travel section for example used to be vast and stock literally everything you could possibly hope to find. This is no longer the case. More of a token effort. A few obligatory London books. The inevitable Lake District book. One book covering Cornwall and that's about it. Maybe it's because they no longer teach kids to read and write in high school. So there's less demand for books. It still has a nice vibe to it and that lovely freshly cooked book smell that they pipe in there.

I bought 3 books from there great selection. And stupidly left my wallet on the counter. When I realised, I called the store and they had already put it to one side for me. Natalie was the lady on that dealt with this. Very pleasing to see such honesty in the world today. Very grateful to this member of staff and this store.

Easy access in town, on 2 floors. Staff friendly and were happy locating books, queue was swiftly dealt with. Good selection books, calenders etc & easy to order off main website for instore collection.

Usually I quite like browsing around Waterstones but today I didn?t enjoy my experience. I found that there wasn?t the usual wide range of books in their but one get one half price offer, only a few tables with these on and compared to other branches this was quite poor.
When I came to pay, there was no staff to be seen. There was another customer also wanting to pay who went upstairs then came back down as couldn?t find anyone. After waiting a while a staff member came over to serve us and seemed quite rude. I understand that there may be staff shortages/delivery?s but to have one member of staff in the whole store was poor.
Not the usual level of customer service I would have expected so quite disappointed

Somehow, and it may be my perception, but it offer seems 'skinny.'It just doesn't feel like other book shops, rather leans towards the discount bookshop without the discounts!'
