Popped in for a quick coffee and cake. It was mid afternoon and pretty quiet.
I ordered a decaff coffee and was tempted by a almond croissant. The croissant turned out to be a poor choice and the coffee sadly wasn't much better.
I am sad to say it was the worst decaff I've had in a café for a long time and probably not helped by it being scalding hot, more like the temperature you need for a pot of tea.
I love a flaky, almondy croissant and although it isn't widely regarded as an afternoon snack, it looked nice so I went for it. It was dry, bordering on stale I think, and had a tiny amount of almond filling compared to some I've had recently at other well known coffee shops.
The staff were pleasant and efficient at least.
Don't think I'll go back.

Love shopping at Waitrose London Road, because I buy small bits daily it?s mostly a very quick nip round. Always good to park. Couple of downsides that I notice fairly frequent are the toilets are very smelly and some items are very often not in stock.

This is only my second time to Waitrose as we live out of area I find the store very interesting and a good variety of foods drinks homeware crockery and restaurant all things to make your life easier I know that quality does demand a higher price and whittles come over as higher in price, but I do think it's worth it.
