The ultimate!

I worked on this farm in 1981 as a farm hand for the hops harvest. The gaffer and his wife were more than gracious to us antipodean travelers. I have wonderful memories of my time there and am so pleased to see the next generation continuing and improving on a beautiful farm in a beautiful place. We had to walk all the way to the Nelson back then - should have thought of the brewery earlier. :)

The owners are lovely people. I thoroughly enjoyed their ?open day? where they opened their farm estate up for the day and showed us around. Their produce is good too. Please support if you can!

I went here on a school trip as a parent helper. Lovely place. The owners were fantastic people. Nothing was too much trouble while we were there. The children all had a tour and talks about how the orchards and the hops are grown and run throughout the year. We learnt a lot. They also were able to see how the local beer is made from the hops. Very informative trip.

We had a lovely morning walking around the orchard and the hop field followed by a tour of the shed where the hops were being dried. It was a really great tour and Jo was very knowledgeable. She even took us to the pub at the end ?

A beautiful part of the world. Loved by beer lovers, cider drinkers and walkers. Fantastic location to visit.
