We use this store on a regular basis.
The main complaint is never enough staff about some staple items not on shelf although when asked the item (milk) was got from the store room. Only ONE open so forced to use self service !!!

In and out for a quick shop, staff friendly and helpful. The store was clean and tidy and the shelves appeared to be well stocked.

Unfriendly staff (90%) prices have gone through the roof since the refurbishment. Seems like a real clique with the staff. Good ones disappear and the dross stays put. Why don?t the management have a look at this? The woman who served me was unfriendly, condescending and arrogant, name of Helen. My milk went sour as I was talking to her ?

They've recently decimated the amount of person operated tills in favour of auto tills. Not great in such a community orientated place as St. John's :(

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff through the blackpole store

Second time using smartshop and the last, My shopping had to be checked by a sales assistant, but this was done in a rude and offhand manner. No irregularities were found with my shop, but the whole thing was conducted without eye contact or explanation from your staff. My 10 year old son who was with me was made to feel he'd done something wrong and would be in trouble. My shopping was emptied out of my bags and left scattered in the trolley and check-out area. No effort made in putting items back, or even making reference to that. Her manner could only be considered rude, ungracious and so far from the levels of customer service that I would expect from Sainsbury's that I am considering this may be my final time shopping with you at all.

This Sainsbury's is utterly abysmal. It was well run for about 1-2 years after opening and then standards started to decline badly. When there's not more management than floor staff on the shop floor there's usually collection of staff only too eager to step in your way unapologetically. A clear a glowing representation of enshitification in action.
