AWFUL !!!!!...The stairs was pitch dark and dangerously steep. The ?TINY? bathroom is upstairs to be shared between 4 rooms!!!!!. We immediately told the bar manager, this was hostel standard at hotel prices! They said they would refund but did not !! Riize Rooms now changed their name to Riize Boutique Hotel ?

We had ground floor twin, room 11. Avoid at all costs. Room was very humid, smelled of musk, way too warm.
Door to bathroom was a joke, did not close properly, no handle and just a flimsy lock, also too low, so banged head every time
No light in the hallway so could not see anything coming in
These rooms have no service, no reception so I don?t know why they call this boutique
Could have been just our room so perhaps the others are better.

I pre booked a room here on Booking.com but cancelled it the same day. The credit card was charged even though I only used it to guarantee the booking. No reply to my request for a refund three weeks on. Avoid this place.

Was originally due to stay in May but was unable due to sickness and I very much appreciated being able to amend my dates.
I had booked room 13 (at the back) which when I rebooked was informed was available, however on the day we were allocated a different room and i am not sure why.
The key pick up and drop off was straight forward. The communal area is tired and needs an upgrade, the lighting on the ground floor was very dark as the lights above the door (as you go in) did not come on.
The room (14) including the bathroom was nicely decorated and pleasent. Unfortunately the carpet is stained in several areas which can detract from the pleasant feel.
The bed was comfortable but the noise from outside was very loud until 1-2am, appreciate this is out of your control but closing the windows did not help (and made the room too hot), is it possible to get double glazing? (Appreciate the building maybe listed).
The room needs to be rearranged (it is possible) as the person sleeping on the right hand side is not able to get out unless they climb over the other person.
The shower was very modern and nice, however there is no privacy in the bathroom as only 1 window of the 2 is frosted so people can see in meaning we had to put a towel over it so have privacy.
The windows in the bathroom could not really be moved as they seem to have got stuck together (there is a bolt protruding through the frosted glass).

There was no WiFi log in provided, then a slow response from management, then finally got the log in the next day, only to discover that the wifi was not actually working at all. Waited all day but no response from management on a resolution.
On top of that, the room wasn't particularly clean. There was a used condom packet on the floor just under the bed, wipeable toothpaste marks on the wooden shelves in the bathroom and stains on the carpet and blinds. The essentials were clean, but overall the room needs a through deep clean.
A disappointing stay.

10/10 ? very pretty room and easy check-in. They offer room service, which is a great bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Rooms are good and clean, bathroom is clean and shared. Location is fantastic, but the building doesn?t have the most logical layout or convenience. That?s a small critique though, the rest was excellent

Look at the terrible reviews. I asked to change the date as unfortunately the event I had booked changed dates. Plenty of vacant rooms on the amended dates. Messed me about for a week and then declined my request. Nasty little con artists! Took money for a room I couldn?t use and then told me I could pay again for the alternate date. No chance!
IGNORE THEIR RESPONSE. THEY PULLED THE SAME TRICK ON A NUMBER OF OTHER BOOKINGS. I TRIED SIX TIMES TO CHANGE THE DATE. THE HOTEL IS A RIGHT DUMP ANYWAY.

The rooms were very comfortable with excellent facilities in central location which was perfect for where we were working. There was a convenient car park very close by. I have no idea why anybody would write this below. Excellent.

Overall nice room and clean, lovely interior design but the basic needs weren?t great.
City location so expect noise.
Pillows really need a refresh they are flat and lumpy.
The fan is a fancy John Lewis one but it was awful so weak and the attic room was really hot and muggy.
The tv remote wasn?t there it was just the fire stick remote, so meant we had to control the TV by the buttons on the TV.
And the wifi really needs sorting out it was terrible.

Noisy location, but this was to be expected. Very central and convenient if you need to be in the town centre. Rooms were boiling hot, and the windows didn't open sufficiently to cool down (no AC). No issues collecting keys but the stairwells are very poorly lit and shabby, with very little signposting to find your room.
The room was in a bad state, dirty/stained carpets, a dirty mug left from a previous guest, stains to sheets. One curtain rail was falling off the wall with plaster flaking off. Random lengths of extension lead running across the floor isn't exactly a professional look.
I had a room with a shared bathroom, which was fine - except the shower barely worked - just a trickle, and the toilet leaked all night. The door to the bathroom was also extremely low, with no warning so I banged my head multiple times (I am only 5'10, the doorway is that low!).
Wouldn't stay again or recommend.

I found the access instructions unclear, there is no wardrobe or hanging space in the room, although clean, the bathroom bin had not been emptied. The TV did not have channels loaded. The light in the downstairs corridor, accessing room 11, was not working.
