Went to the 02 shop today to change / downgrade my contract GEORGE was really helpful and really informative on all the different technology, services and tariffs etc and knew all the answers and more to all my questions. In fact I actually left leaving with an Apple Watch and upgrading my contract! And think we'll be back to purchase a phone for my friend as his knowledge left us interested and wanting to see what more there was to discover?

We called in on-spec because my wife had upgraded to a new phone and the login page kept coming up as 02, even though she's a Giffgaff user. Anyway, the chap in the store very kindly fixed a couple of things that were wrong, even though there is presumably no obligation on them to provide customer service for Giffgaff users. And in doing so massively favourably raised 02's profile in this potential future customer's mind, far more than any amount of tv advertising has done! Thanks!

Had very mixed experiences at this store, the service you receive very much depends on who you're served by. Last couple visits have been pretty disappointing - I appreciate store staff only have so much control before issues have to be escalated to a remote team, but this can mean it drags on and even the ability to provide a short-term solution such as approving temporary use of a PAYG SIM (at O2's expense) would go a long way, rather than resorting to shrugged shoulders, leaving the customer without any service at all, and a slight glimmer of hope that it'll get dealt with in the background.
I'd also prefer to be talked through the troubleshooting process rather than just taking my phone, quietly tapping away and then shoving it back at me now and then to re-enter my PIN/biometrics without even explaining what it's to authorise (resetting your network settings for example means you lose all your saved Wi-Fi networks... Not fun!)
In contrast, the same day of my last visit I popped into EE with a friend to get his SIM swapped, and the service received by staff was on a whole other level! Maybe I need to jump ship come renewal, despite being a loyal O2 customer for almost 10 years...

2025: today came into shop to do 'simple' SIM swap for my elderly, disabled mother. Member of staff (George?) was pleasant and patient as whole thing was rather painful and prolonged (not staff's fault at all). Very grateful of their help.
Just want to add though, I know these shops are all about making sales of the fancy, expensive phones but please don't ever under estimate the service you provide for the elderly who are often terrified of technology and who may be isolated and vulnerable too. The service you do for these folks is far more meaningful than the latest iPhone sale.

Worcester 02 disappointing customer service.Pleasant enough staff who told us they don't transfer data to newly brought devices because of data protection.Im being kind here not naming the person but I feel totally let down by 02 worcester.They issued a smart switch installation app but I had told them my WiFi at home was dire so it wouldn't work anyway.
My data transfer was a nightmare but 02 redditch did it all anyway .Redditch 02 restored my faith in 02 and were patient and kind and resolved all issues.
Come on worcester what we're you thinking ......

Spent endless hours on the phone trying to sort an eSIM out. (Also a visit to O2 shop in Kingfisher Centre, Redditch) and got absolutely nowhere. Called into the Worcester store yesterday and my issue was solved within minutes. Didn?t get the lads name but he was brilliant. Fantastic service.
