I hadn?t realised just how stunning and complex porcelain could be until we visited the museum. Found the audio guide very useful, especially as one can pick and choose commentaries rather than having to slavishly follow a sequence. My main reason for writing this review, though, is to praise the staff, especially a lady called Mary. Without wishing to embarrass anyone, it isn?t often that one visits a venue and afterwards think that you will remember the help given (to a slightly stressed elderly couple) for a long time afterwards.

Really informative and interactive. Great for those of an older age to bring the younger ones to do designs together.

Excellent museum, very informative about the history of Worcester pottery, and lots of lovely examples. The audio handset is worth using.

My arts society group visited in November. Our coach was able to park right outside and we were warmly greeted on arrival.
After tea and biscuits we had an excellent talk by Colin Millett, a collector of Royal Worcester porcelain. He gave a brief history of the industry in Worcester and brought to life the characters and rivalries of those who worked there.
We then took our time to visit the museum which was well laid out and illuminated the development of Royal Worcester porcelain. The displays were excellent and there were many beautiful pieces to be enjoyed.
Personally I was never very interested in porcelain but came away with new insights and enthusiasm for the subject.
I will definitely visit again and would recommend the museum for group and individual visits.

I have previously volunteered for the museum and now currently work there a few times a month. I LOVE museums but had never taken a big interest in ceramic work, until I came here.
The porcelain on display is absolutely stunning and I love getting the chance to walk around the exhibits when I can. Still my favourite is one of the first exhibits you'll see - the Wigornia cream boat, after I saw a talk by antiques expert Philip Serrell in which he explained Wigornia was the roman name for Worcester, and that it is painted in Chinoserie style because that was hugely popular at the time! As far as I'm aware it was made in 1792-ish and is one of the oldest pieces! <3 Just round the corner from that is a mammoth sized vase that is truly outstanding and part of the epic showstopper trail (well worth a look).
There is plenty of written information as well as a free informative audio guide. The new sensory exhibits are also really fun with braille, touch exhibits, and audio exhibits. The museum hosts lots of talks and events and keeps close ties with the local community to engage in everything happening in Worcester. I have learnt an incredible amount from my time here and have been so drawn in by the elegance and excitement of the world of Royal Worcester ceramics that I'm even saving to buy my own tea cups! My favourite thing, however, is to book a paint-your-own-pottery session on my days off. I love how this activity really appeals to everyone and they even have party packages, but most of all I just love sitting down with friends and getting creative. They have a large selection of bisque to choose from as little as £9 which really helps us students out when we want to do something than go for a coffee!

We have just very much enjoyed an online talk by John Sandon. It was lovely to hear from a real expert, and the porcelaine he chose to use to illustrate his talk was beautiful and enhanced his evident expertise. The talk will definitely inspire us to revisit the Museum.

A stimulating experience linking the past former glory of Royal Worcester Porcelain with todays world .Beautifully presented with detailed explanations to fully understand the history. This has prompted us at Worcester Rowing Club to hold a joint exhibition to celebrate our sesquicentenary with trophies and cups made from 1874 onwards by Royal Worcester Porcelain until 1991This cements our relationship as our first captain was F W Grainger the director of Grainger/ Royal Worcester. There are regular pot painting sessions which our grandchildren love

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Zoom illustrated monthly talks on Wednesday evenings. I have learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed the information and presentation. So much so that when on holiday from Sweden I, my two daughters and a granddaughter stayed in Worcester to visit the Museum. We were not disappointed. I look forward to new Zoom talks and one day I shall be back in person, that you can be sure of! Hopefully it will be soon.
