“I had been dreaming of my fairytale wedding since I was little & at 37yrs old that dream came true thanks to some incredible suppliers including the most spectacular venue Stanbrook Abbey! I knew about this hotel a while back and hoped my husband would love it and wow did he! From the day we chose it to the day we got married there it has been 3 years of fairytale and magic. The staff went above and beyond to give us the dream wedding and we felt like we made friends with them. They made the day go so smoothly and always had a smile. We must thank personally Liza, Clyde, Joshie, Milly, John (maintenance) Steve & Ellie for everything! You are all a massive credit to Handpicked hotels and we honestly love you so much. “A really special message to a member of Bar staff called Amy and also main reception Gail. We had a 250 + mile journey to stopover and restaurant had closed unfortunately. I am diabetic and initially got a packet of crisps as my levels dropped very quickly and Amy was a real credit and kind lady and asked kitchen staff if they could do a bowl of chips after fryers now off to assist me and make sure after carbohydrates would be ok until morning breakfast. Gail at reception also offered support with takeaway if needed and I will never forget the kindness and help from such lovely people and a credit to your hotel.”

“Stayed here for one night on the way back from Cornwall to break the journey. Had to park a short walk away as the carpark was full but this was not a problem. Nice comfortable bed . The star of the show was definitely the food. Great value and of high quality....and the beer was great too... service was spot on what more could you ask for but to crown it all the breakfast was amazing.... would not hesitate in coming back for a longer stay as the area has lots of interest as well”

“Although The Lodge was in a good location just above The Cathedral Square, it was hidden away and access was circuitous.
We were easily disorientated in the twists and turns from the reception desk to the stairs.
The NCP multistorey was conveniently placed across the square but satnav was lost and we did several dejá vu loops of the streets before actually finding our way in.”

“Charming hotel located a central location in Worcester. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.Rooms have a very nice view to the river Severn. Showers had a great water pressure. All in all, an ideal place to stay for a weekend away in Worcester!”
