My wife and I visited the cafe for lunch today, my wife chose the quiche and when it arrived the casing was so hard she couldn't eat it, it had obviously been cooked earlier and reheated. The last time we visited I chose Cornish pasties and got the same result. We should have complained but we shall vote with our feet and not return. The cafe used to be full but this is no longer the case.

Very disappointed by lunch today. Ordered a mature cheddar sandwich which for the price should have been gourmet. What was delivered was nothing short of shocking. Two anemic slices of bread, one side not even buttered, with two slices of basic supermarket bought cheddar that looked like a floppy piece of plastic. The salad and coleslaw barely existed with the smallest scoop of coleslaw and single strand of white onion.
One unhappy shopper who won?t be returning. David you?ve lost a customer!

Well laid out garden centre that caters for almost everything. Lovely cafe with homemade cakes and pastries. Plenty of parking. Staff very pleasant.

We had 2 stale sandwiches, a piece a cake and 3 drinks for £30. Complete waste of money. The bread was hard, they left half the order on the counter as they were too busy chatting ( 3 young lads) and not one of them had a courteous bone in their body. We retrieved the missing order and they barely acknowledged us... just a quick 'sorry' and then got back to laughing with each other. I did complain to the lady, telling her how stale the bread was and she asked if I wanted to change it? Really?? You were happy to send out our order stale, why would I want to chance another. 1st visit and sorry to say, our last! Charming garden centre, with very good deals on various garden furniture. I would definitely visit the garden centre only again.

Fabulous garden centre well priced quality plants friendly staff and enjoyed a lovely breakfast wish we had one similar near home. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Aware of the good reviews, I was really looking forward to lunch. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the Steak ?Pie of the day? was absolutely awful. It took about 20 minutes to arrive which was not a problem and I thought it would be fresh. Alas, the pie crust was chewy and inedible. It was like it had been heated in a microwave. The filling consisted of one little piece of steak and a lot of gristle. To finish it off, the mash was like it had been extracted from (another) microwavable mould. Such a shame.
The staff were very nice and I didn?t want to cause any offence by saying anything. But I guess it was obvious given I returned it largely uneaten.
