This is still a really good restaurant for Indian food and the menu is good but, it is not as good in my opinion as a year or two ago. Little things are letting it down. The food was hot but served in unsheathed bowls and plates so it went cold very quickly. The wild Pondicherry Prawn dish had plenty of prawns but the tomatoes that normally form a significant part of this dish were missing (well in fairness the were two small pieces of tomato) I would still select this over most Indian style restaurants but I would hope that at some point the Marlbank will return to its own very high standards.

Visited on Friday evening, we have been a couple of times before and the food is always delicious, very authentic and fresh tasting. The staff are attentive and friendly too.

Just returned from a lovely evening at the Marlbank Inn. First thing to say is that the food is fantastic. If this was in an urban location it would be booked up weeks in advance. Amit is trying something different in the countryside and is having to take small steps to get to where he wants to be. We had a nice relaxing drink before the meal. Very well looked after all evening. Last time we visited we took the camper and stayed on the attached camp site. It is clearly a destination venue but well worth the effort for the quality of the food.

We returned here on NYE to DJ after previously visiting 2 years ago. The food and service is fantastic and the views of the countryside are outstanding. We look forward to returning again soon.

Staff not completely welcoming on entering but once sat down were pleasant. Food really very good. Sadly ruined our experience due to the state of the camping site and facilities and the farce of a NYE party event! Over priced and over charged. Mis leading nye party advert (attached) and automatically charged us £30 on our bill for attending. When bought to their attention the chef/owner was extremely rude! Will never visit again. Advertised as live dj and supper. No supper or anything included but you can have a meal if you want to pay for it!! You wouldn't have even known it was nye! No decorations, not even a snack just purely a dj playing music at a box in the corner and a glass of champagne (well fizzy wine) on entering (wether you drink alcohol or not!) Very disappointing and over priced food. Food very nice. However.... the price is super high! £17/18 for a curry! Staff and atmosphere in a very dark pub converted to an Indian restaurant, not good. Unwelcoming unless you appear to be local.

I had heard great reviews of this place, so booked for a special family member's birthday. I have to say that, whilst the environment (decor) is modern and sleak, the same cannot be said of the service that we found to be petulant and a little moody by the young female server! The sharing platter and starter was very good, and although nothing wrong with the taste and flavour of the mains - the service was disjointed in bringing it to the table and some served only just hot enough. I wish the establishment well, however, due to my disappointment I do not think I will be trying it again :(

Visiting in Malvern for the week and read the great reviews and thought we give it a go and ordered a takeaway. Arrived and had to wait for 20 minutes even though there was only one table. The curries had amazing flavours however the lamb we ordered was tough and not tender, surprising as they say it was slowed cooked and stewed. Overall it was ok, nothing to rave about had better curries.

The food is out of this world and proper Indian and ran by an Indian family with a great heritage. NOT Bangladeshi people cooking the usual dishes the English want in Worcester.....who claim to have won an award, with an Elvis show or old snooker player attending! The owner is Amit, and he/they have been recognised by Gordon Ramsey and were on one of his TV series. I have met him and he's a great guy..... the best Indian food I have ever had anywhere and well worth a small drive. GeT there!

I have always said that when a restraunt doesn't have a vast menu what is served is so much better quality. Our friends who are regulars chose curry which they said was and certainly looked delicious. My husband and I had the Mixed Tandori platter. I only ever choose tandori or tikka because I prefer food without sauce so I consider myself a bit of an expert in this field. Hand on heart I honestly can say I have never tasted better. Lovely selection of quality meat, every item cooked to perfection. I never usually eat the shishkebab but this was delicious. The cost was extremely reasonable and the staff couldnt have been more friendly. Thank you. We look forward to returning.

Unhelpful when we tried to order food here so we went elsewhere.

Stayed in the restaurant's camp ground overnight in our camper van. The food was superb, we had lamb rolls, chicken chettinad madras and lamb "estew". Found the place a little confusing, it says it's a country pub but it's an Indian restaurant. It also seems to have three names The Marlbank, Pandeli and Shak. For campers there's two hot showers in basic but clean and perfectly decent shower rooms and ECU is available

Easy to park and find. Staff and locals were friendly. We tried 4 curries as a takeaway and they were really lovely. We would love to come back for some other food events.
