Wow! What a beautiful village pub. We were greeted by a polite, friendly waitress, who asked if we had booked and took us to our table. Service was prompt and we were not rushed into making a decision on food.
The menu is lovely. So much choice. We took it upon ourselves to look at what was being taken to other tables and that?s is when our table of 6 made our choices. Lamb shank, chicken ham and mushroom pie x2, mixed grill and ham, egg and chips. Every single meal was cooked to perfection, it was hot and attention detail was great. We will definitely be returning. Highly advised to book in advance.

Visited for Sunday lunch our first time read the good reviews we were not disappointed in fact I would go as far to say the best lunch we?ve tasted and we?ve tasted many!!
Great portion size and excellent price .
Service was very efficient you could see what a great team of waitresses and friendly too.
Place is well looked after and clean , lot of places can be let down by the toilets not here , spotless.
We 110 % recommend and will be back , just wish we lived closer .

I've never had such a bad meal. I don't complain unnecessarily. If I find problem then always as staff to taste. Ordered lamb shank in mint gravy. All I could taste was salt. My partner tasted and agreed it was salty and couldn't taste the mint. Asked staff member to try but to no avail. Senior staff member came said tasted fine to her and it was popular dish. She kindly offered to change. Order pate starter instead of another main. Don't know what pate it was but this time extremely bland.
Ordered apple and berry crumble but don't know what happened to berries. There was gooseberry and strawberry on side of plate. Gooseberry totally rotten. Will not be coming back

The food was bland and salty. We had mixed fruit crumble for pudding to share. We could only find apple no berries. The top was decorated with 1 small strawberry cut in half and a small gooseberry that was rotten at the bottom!

Always had a good meal here until tonight.
I appreciate it was busy but the service was shocking, showed to table and was forgotten about. As it was so hot we decided to eat outside, so ordered food at the bar and waited. I had half a garlic chicken, with chips and salad...I would not of even given my dog the chicken. Really disappointed!

I gave them five stars because the beer is good and the atmosphere is nice. We got here at around 3 o?clock and we walked quite a way to get here and didn?t realize the kitchen closes from 230 to 6 so just check their times before you go, and I?m sure the food is excellent
