Stopped at this pub while waiting to check in to our farmhouse. The sun was shining, so we spent most of our time outside and only briefly ventured indoors. The food was excellent — really enjoyable, and I couldn’t fault it at all.

We were hoping to celebrate our daughter’s achievement of passing her solicitor’s qualifying examinations, she is almost 23 years old. Served by Sam L. having arrived without booking. We are pretty regular customers so we are getting to know how good the service is. Sam was very attentive, good humoured and cheerful even though she was very busy. No hesitation recommending The Nightingale because we know no one would be disappointed.
