I'm not sure how to start this, but my local Specsavers store is Erdington Birmingham which is where I had my eye test and have been a customer for many years. When I had my test the optometrist said there was quite a change in my distance and I also had the onset of cataracts.I hadn't had new glasses for a few years and felt my distance sight was still pretty good. So as I had the cataract diagnosis I didn't go for my usual varifocal lense (which they still advised) and when in Stourport on Severn, where we often go I popped in for just distance glasses as thought that was best if needed to change glasses in no too distant future due to cataracts rather go for varifocals.When I collected the glasses I was surprised there didn't seem any real improvement in my distance vision at all, I asked if there had been much change in my readings and she said not? So I am confused ? I will call into Erdington when I can to discuss this. Also I might add the frames are very flimsy, in fact I've had better frames with ready readers from Poundland. Very disappointed overall.

Never call you when they say you can never get them on the phone and wrongly sent my daughters glasses back to the lab as they got customers mixed up claimed I went in store when I wasn?t even in the area still waiting for them to arrive save yourself trouble find another opticians

I wish I could remember the names of the staff I dealt with, however the service I received was excellent. Helping me pick out glasses that suited me, to the free contact lens trial and my first attempts at putting these in and taking them out. I never felt rushed and the staff are all lovely, really helpful a real asset to Specsavers.

They can't keep information up to date about your prescription so you end up talking about old glasses and tests. they have know knowledge about visual impairments and every appointment i had to mention it because its never on the system, you can't trust your getting the correct glasses as they never keep records of current issues.I'd also recommend avoiding if visually impaired they have no clue.I found a 2 year old pair of glasses were better than any new glasses they prescribed me, overall bad experience and moved opticians.UPDATE: 15th August 2023 Now at Vision Express they have sorted out what I needed after just one appointment, they understood what I was describing and what I needed which SpecSavers Stourport said they couldn't provide, 100% avoid Spec Savers

Quality of service and expertise is second to none. A serious issue with my eyes was discovered and I was immediately referred to an eye hospital. Apologies to the lady that was complaining her appointment time was delayed and she was 'missing the sun', this was partly due to my thorough eye examination and subsequent explanation of the findings. I highly recommend Specsavers in Stourport due to the service received so far. I'll be back in to collect my new glasses in a couple of weeks.

Immediately after walking through the door I was greeted and dove straight into glasses selection. The customer service was very good and the team have a great sense of humour. This is quite refreshing to see considering I have had bad experiences with Specsavers at another branch.

The actual eye tests were great but after service poor to be kind went to pick up my glasses at the time as agreed got there told not here yet not in till 1050 when agreed time was 0930:no apology just excuses will look elsewhere in future
