My wife and I popped in today to pick up some books and when we were greeted by the cashier - Lizzie, we had the lovely surprise of someone who was excited, passionate and so kind. We ended up talking about upcoming books, recommending books to each other and my wife and I felt so elated to have met someone who clearly loves books and their job. Thank you Lizzie for being a bright spark and keeping books exciting. 10/10 service.

My daughter and I took my granddaughters (ages 4+6) to Waterstones in Redditch to spend some Christmas book tokens. The girls were very excited to see so many books. The assistant was friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. She talked directly to the children and found out what they enjoyed. It was an enjoyable outing and hopefully the first of many for the girls. I couldn't help contrasting it to online book buying. There's nothing like the personal touch.

Asked for wall Map of World. After little took it out of plastic and let us look rather than wait till we got home.
They gave us a leaflet about competition. Write, story/poem colour front page of book. Also chart to read every day.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing as I would like to make a complaint about one of your staff members, who I asked for help and advice about a book. They were serving another customer however, told me they would help me once done. They then proceeded to serve multiple customers and ignored my request for help. When I challenged this, the employee became very rude to me. This is not acceptable customer service and I am very disappointed that I had this experience in your store. Please educate your staff( wax lady with cherry red hair )on simple manners management team. I?m still in shock ?..

Quiet bookstore. Good selection neatly laid out. Little comment notes displayed for some books to give you an extra idea of what they're about.
