Needed to sell my wife's vehicle as we moved over to EV. We put in the reg in a few sites and SYC2J came up the most but by a few hundred pounds. Naturally we booked an appointment for the next day to see how it worked as we've never sold a car like this before.The shop was in a car park and we met with Joe. It's my wife's car, she barely drives it and it was in very good nick for the age. We presented the documents and FSH which checked out. All was great so far and easy.Joe went to evaluate the vehicle, at this point we werent sure how insurance worked as no papers were shown to us so unsure how he would be covered. After about 15 mins, he returned, however, it hit a bit of a trough as we were informed that the vehicle 'may' have been involved in an accident due to the colour of the front bumper. The value was dropped.I requested to show me where this issue was and there was no difference of shade. The weather was grey clouds and you could see what may have resembled 'orange peel', not to the touch but visually only. I check this on the bonnet, door, boot, roof etc. And it was present, you really had to look for it at an angle, also showed that it was the same paint throughout. Popped the bonnet and not one screw or bolt had any evidence of being tampered or undone and redone. The panel gaps were factory perfect as it is very difficult to get gaps the same again and were the same on both sides. He said 'may have been done while on the car', well there was no evidence of any overspray in any crevices. I've worked in body works when I was younger during my track racing days and know how difficult it is to repaint bumpers and parts to factory finish.It was just my opinion vs his. I asked how do we validate his opinion and he just said 'I'm confident in my evaluation', so there was nothing I could do.I advised my wife not to accept and that we should go somewhere else or go to a bodywork specialist to see if this was the case. Unfortunately, the whole 'it might drop further as time goes on' one liner was used and work as she accepted.I believe they low balled it and picked on something that wasn't there. Our choice to accept but don't believe it was a genuine evaluation.2 stars just because the process was fairly easy to do. Dropped 3 stars due to the experience.

Over a k less than offered for two Kirbed wheels we buy any car took 700 off for this reason even tho I can have them done properly for 200 and no doubt they can cheaper with there output
