Could and should be a great brand but do everything wrong. 7 days for click and collect, could you do any less? Not up to date with trends and opportunities, would love to see Halfords get much better

Booked in for car service at Sutton. Was booked in at 11.30 today . Took them till nearly five o'clock to do car. All they kept saying when I went in there three times was they would call me in an hour. Got a bit fed up and asked them what going on .At three o'clock told they kept getting the oil filter worn type .this was first I heard about the trouble with filter.i didn't get car back till around five o'clock. Would not recommend the Sutton branch of halfords as they take all the bookings but can't cover the work.this is worst halfords I have ever been to

They have been doing a lot to help my husband out with the electric bike he bought, used four or five times and the battery went faulty. It's been in the cupboard for weeks and Halfords Perth are not getting things sorted out. Shaun at the head office, customer services has helped us out. My Husband got a full refund on his electric bike at last. Thank you Shaun.

Disappointed as both a customer and a member of staff. I responded to a job advert on social media, saying that a local company was looking for bike builders. I thought \\\"great\\\", this was right up my street. I am a keen cyclist and I have spent an awful lot of time with my bike. I visited the Halfords office last Monday and the lady in charge of recruitment said that I could start this week. Well, my job lasted 2 days. I was being trained in a group with 3 other people. None of the others seemed to do much cycling, or show an interest in how bikes work. The training focused on a few very minor aspects of bicycle assembly, as the crankshaft, gears and brakes were already in place. The trainer wasn't at all patient and didn't seem interested in the work that he was doing.\\nI wouldn't work for Halfords again and I don't understand why they waste people's time. If the kind of people that they are employing are the ones that I met, I would be concerned that the organisation does not understand the needs of it's customers.\\nAs a customer, I have also been let down by Halfords. During lockdown, my local shop in Bromsgrove was closed (despite this being an essential store). This meant that I couldn't get any repairs done on my bike and that I had to go all the way to Kidderminster to pick a new bike up.\\nI also complained to head office that the lights that they sell do not fit the required beam width in order to be road worthy. This means that a large number of Halfords customers are liable to arrest. The store has mis-sold customers, like myself, products that are not adequate for cycling on the road at night under UK law.

There's a saying that a positive review of a shopping experience can generate 5 extra sales , a negative experience is said to result in the loss of 10 potential sales , I'm hoping that to be true .
On friday my wife took my sons bicycle into HALFORDS at Deptford , Sunderland . When she took it in she was told it would be ready by Monday at the latest. Having not heard from them, she visited the store on monday afternoon - no one had even bothered to look at the bike in the 60 hours it had sat there !
On tuesday I phoned, only to be told that they had a member of staff off work due to a bereavement but the girl dealing with it would phone me after she returned from her dinner . I assume she must still be on her lunch as she still hasn't called .
Today I called in to collect the bike . It was standing behind the counter untouched . I explained that I wanted it back but was informed that it needed to be taken off their system - This is the same system I had been told over the phone the day before wasn't working ! After 10 minutes standing waiting , I told the young lad doing his best to ignore me, that I wasn't willing to wait any longer . A supervisor arrived at this point and listed the reasons nothing had been done - whilst never actually apologising . He then began fiddling with their computer to 'clear it off their system' whilst I was forced to wait . In the end I told him to give me the bike and do whatever he was doing in his own time and not waste any more of mine .
I've never experienced such terrible customer service before . EVER. So if you ever need to get your children's bikes repaired , DON'T GO TO HALFORDS ! Please feel free to share this, because that way 10 potential customers may realise that Halfords are useless and spend their money with a company that actually cares how it treats people.

Very poor customer service. Long story short
Took my car to Halford's Newmarket to have new number plates printed & fitted. Man on the rear service desk (Tim i think it was) was very unapproachable and robot like. Anyway, had them fitted by another guy who was actually quite pleasant and helpful. Drove away to have the police pull my car over and the reason was because my 318 was coming up as a MINI!
When i explained to the officer about the situation, he rolled his eyes and he explained that he sees this all the time with halford's stores and let me on my way.
I was appalled by this situation especially from a company as large as Halfords. I called head office and they only agreed to put the plates right and to give me part refund and part Halfords gift card. Head office were extremely rude and unhelpful and had rods stuck up there such and such.
Dont use Halfords

Halfords really need to improve their data base system, as I reserved a child's bike seat (Chorley branch). I then received a text saying they were getting my order together.
Next I receive a phone call saying they don't have one at this branch but the staff will pick one up from Preston and it will be available on Saturday morning.
Then I receive a text saying my order is ready to pick up! I then phoned (which took two attempts to get through) to find out this was not the case and that it is in fact not ready nor in store.
The two stars I did give was only because the staff at the Chorley store are very nice and polite and actually try to help. Unlike the people who clearly are not doing the same at the top level. Other wise if I could I would have given a zero star rating. If it wasn't for the staff at Chorley I assume Halfords would have gone into administration by now. Chorley staff are decent. But whoever is maintaining this data base system, needs to do a much better job, as it is completely unreliable.
This has happened to me on more than one occasion.
