The staff were great, one of our granddaughters is dairy intolerant and the young lady who took our order at the bar was brilliant, she made sure we had the allergen book and carefully checked that we had read and understood before placing our order. The food arrived quickly and was good. It is a great place, with good service and is value for money.

Ordered 2x £11 deals and a kids mixed grill, cheesy garlic bread, appletiser and 4 soda water and cordials - cost £46.
Positives - sausage & mash, kids mixed grill were actually really nice, kids grill in particular was excellent value for money at £6.
Negatives - the burger and chips were by far, the worst burger and chips we?ve ever had. The burger was dry, seemed like it was cooked in the morning and reheated. Came with a little slice of processed cheese and a thimble of coleslaw. The chips, although visually looked nice enough, tasted like they had been triple cooked and not in the posh way. Tasted burnt, dry as the atmosphere inside.
The pub is massively ran down inside and out. I don?t think it?s been touched in the 15 odd years since we last went.
Little play area outside was good, nice pond area too.
Now for less than £50 for 5 people to eat, you can?t argue with the price and you?d expect pretty standard ?pub grub? - just stay away from anything with chips and definitely don?t order any burgers.
Tip: order your £2 deserts when you pay for the £11 deal, you can?t get these after the fact you?re told? it does state this at the bottom of the menu but I hadn?t seen that until going back up to order deserts.
Considering it was summer half term, there were just 4 tables including us inside eating.
2 stars given due to two of the meals being good and cost price is about as cheap as you?ll find locally?. But be very careful what you order.

To be honest I've always liked the honeybee but the last two times we've been it hasn't been as good I ordered the mighty man mixed grill and it was literally swimming in watery grease and my medium rare steak was grey like it had been boiled not good at all
