Great venu, great location, but be aware everything is premium priced

Such a beautiful place! You can sit inside or outside. They used to have cute little pods you could sit in outside, but they seem to have gone now.
My favourite is their hanging kebab. But unfortunately they no longer do a vegetarian option (halloumi hanging kebab), only on certain days. Such a shame because that was the only vegetarian option I liked.

Decent Sunday Roast, portions were generous, meat nicely cooked and a good selection of vegetables. The setting is also great, crossed over the road for a little walk along the river after lunch to let the food settle.

We had our special wedding day at Holt Fleet, the staff and food exceptional. All our guests very complementary of the day. Special thanks to our wedding coordinator Nikki who organised our day for us. Perfect in every way. Would highly recommend this venue.

We were seated straight away on a Friday night with no booking and a wedding that was going on in the garden, all of the staff were very friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. Food was really tasty and good portion, lots of vegan options too. Thank you for your service ?

As a guest at the wedding and the cake maker for the day I can honestly say it was a lovely venue with lovely staff! Huge shoutout to Alice who went above and beyond to help out as I set up, and throughout the wedding party was brilliant!

Really enjoyable food in a gorgeous setting, pity they've removed the pods.

So if you just want a pint, you have to be waited upon via table service. Haven't been here since, probably, 1986, will not bother ever again.

Excellent position right by the river Didn't eat but loads of patrons seemed to be enjoying the food

Brother-in-law, wife and myself turned up for a late lunch and had a nice table overlooking the river. Plus point is that they seem to serve all day - we were too late for our usual (Ombersley) pub. But the place is looking a bit tired now. Food is acceptable pub grub without being memorable but I was amazed that our coffees were 'instant'. I detest instant coffee and questioned this with the waitress and she just laughed! No apology or explanation why they don't provide ground coffee - just the bill.
Another pet hate is being referred to as 'guys'. The 3 of us are the wrong side of 75 and the last time I ever thought of myself as a 'guy' was half a century ago. Probably our last visit there which is a shame because I can remember when it was the place to be.

Always good here. Sat by river probably not the best choice as plagued by flying ants.
Lovely river view.
Recommend you visit

We were sat outside when the manager came over and took our order for drinks. We then asked her if we could order some food. She told us ?no we?re not serving food outside at the moment? (we had the dog and couldn?t eat inside) to then realise a few minutes later another waitress was handing out food menu?s to another table. We called her over and she said they were serving food outside and she passed us some menu?s. This wouldn?t be an issue but last summer we came here for a pint in the garden and the staff looked us up and down and said they were fully booked when there were empty tables. Looking at your reviews I?ve seen a few similar to this and it seems your staff need to work on their communication skills and customer service. As for the food it was poor quality, I?ve had better Wetherspoons meals. So before being snooty with customers I?d fix your menu :)

Our Wedding Experience at The Holt Fleet ? December
We had our wedding at The Holt Fleet in December, and unfortunately, there were several issues that left us feeling incredibly disappointed.
Firstly, our personal wedding décor was used without our permission the very next day for another event. Photos using our décor were posted on the venue's social media before any of our wedding photos were even shared?which felt disrespectful and careless.
On the day itself, things did not run smoothly. Key moments like the cutting of the cake and our first dance were missed or poorly timed. Several pieces of our décor were never put out, and some were placed outside in stormy weather and subsequently damaged. Our handmade confetti throw, which we spent hours preparing, was also overlooked completely. We understand that the team was under pressure due to the weather, but the lack of attention to these important details left us feeling let down.
We also chose a photographer at The Holt Fleet?s wedding open day?someone they had clearly endorsed. That photographer ended up losing our family wedding photos and handled the situation with little professionalism or care. After six months of stress, he offered a compensation package that was well below what was acceptable, but we felt we had no option but to accept it.
When we approached The Holt Fleet for support (not compensation), we were shocked at how uninterested they were. Instead of offering empathy or assistance, they informed the photographer that we had complained. This led to him threatening us, stating that The Holt Fleet fully supports him and that it was pointless to raise our concerns. The venue never followed up with us?not even a courtesy message.
It?s incredibly hurtful to have been treated this way by a venue we entrusted with such a significant day. We are sharing our experience not out of malice, but to inform future couples of what we went through. While we?re sure others may have had positive experiences here, ours was unfortunately not one of them?and as a result, we will not be returning, nor recommending The Holt Fleet to others.

Nice meal with stunning views of river Severn, little pricey though
