The New Inn is now under new management. Definitely worth a visit! It has a lovely family vibe, attentive staff, and the Sunday lunch is fab. We recently went for Sunday afternoon drinks and music which was so much fun. And again with family for a big birthday celebration this weekend and it was perfect. This will definitely be our go-to for family gatherings from now on.

An outstanding establishment. Never been so welcomed as a first time visitor. Good, hot tasty food and so friendly locals. Just what we needed after a tragic start to the week. We shall return.

We popped into The New Inn at Clifton this evening ? now under new ownership ? and it was a lovely visit! ? There were comfy chairs out on the lawn with people relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views over the Teme Valley. Plenty of seating both inside and out, and the dining room is to the left as you walk in.
The staff gave us a warm welcome, and food service started at 5pm ? perfect for families with little ones or anyone who likes to eat early (like us!).
The menu had a good variety, including vegetarian and vegan options, and everything we ordered tasted freshly prepared. My husband went for the scampi, our daughter had the classic gammon with chips, pineapple and egg, and I had gammon too, but with new potatoes and peas (no butter as I?m dairy-free). The gammon was perfectly cooked ? lean and really tasty.
With two medium glasses of wine and a pint of Coke, the bill came to just over £60 ? great value for a relaxed evening out. Definitely one to keep on the list! ???

Me and my partner had a a lovely experience here at the New Inn. We had gone on a weekend getaway and stayed not far from the New Inn. We arranged and booked to stop at The New Inn for some food and drinks. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely member of staff who quickly got us seated and took our orders.
The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly. The view from our seat was lovely looking out onto the front garden with an amazing tree in-front of us. After orders the food came out fairly quick and the staff couldn?t have done a better job in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was lovely and both me and my partner enjoyed it. The portions were a great size and a member of staff even offered to wrap up the food we couldn?t finish, to take away with us which was lovely. For me and my partner the service was amazing and the staff were all very friendly. We returned the day after for a few drinks in the bar area and yet again the staff were brilliant. Quick service and great atmosphere. All of the staff that we seen were a credit to themselves and made our stay amazing we couldn?t have hoped for better. I would 100% recommend visiting here. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, reasonable prices and lovely food.
Thank you to everyone at The New Inn.

Myself, my wife and family visited last Sunday. We were made very welcome upon arrival and throughout visit. Every member of the team, locals, visitors were very friendly. It is lovely pub, in a super location, with alot to offer. We will certainly revisit and experience the food.

We went last night with two friends (party of four) Three of us had steak and one chargrilled chicken and potato salad. Decent sized portion, good flavour, good service and presented beautifully. Well done to Guy, Mike and team you deserve every success. Highly recommend and we will be back again

My partner and myself walked here when we were staying in a lodge at Salford country farm. It is around a 40 minute walk. Everyone, from the staff to the customers which I presume were local were all very friendly.

We went in here for a pitstop yesterday afternoon. A true hidden gem. Friendly staff and customers, great range of drinks and snacks, and the view and tranquility out the front was awesome. We will definitely be returning to try the food soon. Top pub.

We visited one evening while on holiday in the nearby area. On arrival we enjoyed a pleasant drink in the garden which did have spectacular views. After 30 minutes we decided to go inside as it was getting cold. We advised the bar person that we had moved and we were told no problem at all. After over an hour of waiting for our food, we were greeted by a very rude lady who appeared from the kitchen, our plates in hand, who made us feel very unwelcome by questioning why we had brought our dog to this exact part of the pub. We explained we would be happy to move but we had not been made aware that we could not sit at this specific table with our dog (i would like to add the ladies own dog was barking its head off from the kitchen all throughout this conversation). The lady continued to confront us in the middle of the pub and made it very clear how unwelcome we were. After saying numerous times we could move if she wanted us to, she told us to stay where we are and blamed the bar girl for the mis communication (the bar girl was very nice by the way).
As for the food.....terrible. We ordered 2 x medium/rare steaks which were very well done. The gammon was tough and over cooked yet the chips were still half frozen. Nothing fresh or home made about this place. Normally, im not one to complain however, on this ocassion our experience left us feeling unwelcome, embarrassed, disappointed and quite upset.

Lovely food, nice clientele. Horrible people who run it. I?m a woman in my sixties on my own and was treated quite badly. A shame as it?s local to where I?m staying and I won?t be going back there when I do spend a lot of money on take away food.
