Have used this pub before & very nice food. Don?t know if there is a new management or chef or both? But they don?t know the difference between triple cooked CHIPS, for which you have to pay a supplement & SKIN ON WEDGES??..I ordered pie with TRIPLE COOKED CHIPS. A pie with a rather hard top arrived with skin on wedges & thin gravy & at £17.95 I rather expected them to know the difference? I googled triple cooked chips so as to be sure I was not wrong. The fact that it is a trade description violation did not seem to make any impact & I would have let it go & not returned there if the said wedges had been good? But they weren?t. They were very dark brown, soggy but firm like new potatoes inside. ALDIs own are way out in front on that score.
The waitress knocked off the supplement charge for the upgrade to the chips we didn?t have & the price of my drink. It wasn?t busy & we were not in a hurry.
Incredibly poor. Thank goodness we didn?t have steak eh? As that is sooooooo much harder to get right than a chip??Pity - as it was my Birthday ? Hey ho

Great menu with delicious food and lovely staff. The room was sectioned off into areas that had two long tables each which gave some atmosphere and privacy. The food was beautifully presented, would definitely recommend.

Came here today , for my sisters birthday lunch , the staff were really good , the lady came and checked if our food and everything was alright which is always good , the food was fantastic , we travelled from Birmingham for a few days and this place is a real gem , well done hopefully will come again , keep up the good work ?

We had dinner here and it was superb, really lovely pub in a pretty environment. Owners and staff were warm and welcoming. The quality of the food was outstanding,

Have been here a few times now and really love the atmosphere and the food is really good. The staff are welcoming and friendly and there is a nice outdoor area to eat in during the nicer weather. Going back on Sunday for a birthday lunch ?
