Very welcoming team in a lovely setting, food was good pub grub in generous portions. A very good selection of beverages. Has a great buzz to it with locals. We will visit again.

Stayed at National Trust hop kiln cart barn. Found this pub when doing a google map pub search, Fantastic sunday roast. Very friendly staff would highly recommend.

Eleven of us went for a Celebration Roast Lunch last Sunday, 11th March, 2025, having pre-booked both table and choices. The food was excellent - plentiful and beautifully cooked, all the staff were friendly and attentive and the cost, with drink, represented very good value for money. Thank you, Tracey. None of your team put a foot wrong!

Lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere. The landlord and landlady are absolutely lovely and always give you a warm welcome. I would highly recommend the food and drinks. Dog friendly too which is fantastic.

The staff are so welcoming, lots of people from around the village come in and have a drink because all of the other places for example The Talbot and the Admiral Rodney- they are shut but they don't provide good beer. I would highly recommend this place- the food is delicious, especially the Sunday lunches, because the leftover veg that you get, you can ask for a box to put it in and take home for leftovers or you can give some to your pets- they will love you forever
