Hosted our event catering for 16 people. Customer service and organisation was excellent pre event and during our stay. Food was delicious and the location a stunning backdrop to our event. Highly recommend.

We chose The Cottage in the Wood to celebrate our post elopment meal with family. From start to finish they were helpful in communication and helped to ensure the day was perfect! We had friends and family travelling from 3hrs away and despite delays to our arrival time, they were accommodating and understanding and we never felt rushed. The room was beautiful and the views absolutely stunning!! The weather was gorgeous too! The food was amazing! Every course was tasty, presented beautifully and portion size was perfect - everyone left more than satisfied! The timings between the courses was perfect too, allowing us time to chat and catchup. The service was also impeccable - we could not have asked for a better venue and we would 100% recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a very special location for a celebration or treat. Thank-you so much again to all the staff for all their help before and on the day. The new Mr and Mrs Ellis x

We were gifted a voucher for an afternoon cream tea here. Upon arrival we sat at the bar, waiting for to be called in. The afternoon tea was unlimited selection of teas or coffee, and set amount of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and cakes. We liked the restaurant area and the view. I'd recommend this place for a stay or dining out or for afternoon tea.

We went for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Very nice touches with amuse bouches and pre-dessert. Great service and friendly, efficient staff. Amazing view, even in a hazy day.

Dined for lunch with friends....it was exceptionally good....I believe it is a new chef....Great food and flavours...beautifully presented...complete with 3 amuse boucle.
