Kidderminster branch is the worst hsbc branch ever, no one is there to help and all the machines constantly break.Considering changing banks!

Really weird experience visiting this branch on a Saturday. Itâ??s eerie, old building, feels almost haunted. At first, I thought the internet had the wrong opening times, as going in from the busy street, it felt (with the descent of silence&creaky floor) as if Iâ??d just stepped into a medieval church, in some remote English village.
The ð??° cashier desks closed, no one in the high ceilinged room. Had the staff left the doors open when going home I wondered to myself?
I turned to see a machine with lights flashing & a pile of plastic bags on top of it(environmentally very unfriendly) I can only hope that HSBC will catch up with other large conglomerates & recognise that we only have one planet & start using something more environmentally friendly for customers to deposit their cheques in. Their smallest cheque deposit bag would fit 1000 or more cheques in. Multiplied across branches across the world, this is hugely wasteful. HSBC could use the savings of smaller bags to reduce the very wide profit margin between their mortgage rates & the UK bank base rate.
I digress. I nearly jumped out of my skin when a voice from behind me boomed â??can I helpâ?? She told me what to do and then beat a hasty retreat, not bothering to check Iâ??d understood her somewhat rushed instructions.
Well the envelope beat me. Iâ??m no spring chicken & had forgotten my reading glasses. Suddenly as I grappled with how to open it, as if by magic, yet another staff member appeared as if from nowhere. Turned out the first one was to assist in what I needed to do & the second with my actually achieving it. He then beat a hasty retreat & suddenly there were 3 of them all standing in a row, watching me, chatting to each other.
Then I thought of a good idea. Had the machines had clear instructions on how to use them, it would actually be far quicker than dealing with staff. They do nothing & get paid on a Saturday, so why have them Monday to Friday? The reduced wage bill would allow HSBC to further reduce mortgage rates. Just saying...
