I called the other day because I saw a dog without a collar walking down the pavement on a busy road. I could not stop to help the dog since I was on my way to work and had another 40 minutes of driving. I called the RSPCA straight away to see if they could help and the lady refused to help. She told me to call the council for the local dog catcher despite knowing I would not be able to stop driving to get a number for the next 40 minutes. She said they do not send people out and did not offer to help with contacting someone to save the dog. By the time I got to work I found out that the dog catcher was not open on weekends nor would they be able to get the dog if no one had caught it. The council suggested I called the non emergency police but by then it had been over an hour and the police realistically said that the dog could be anywhere by that point. I don't know what has happened to that dog now or if they are okay but they could have or be potentially much safer if the RSCPA were willing to help. In their adverts they even say that they rescue abandoned or stray dogs but do not follow this practice. This is not the first time I have heard about the RSCPA refusing to help animals in danger.

We went to the fab dog show and fun afternoon, very relaxed atmosphere & lovely people.All the dogs visiting seemed relaxed by the place.
