Just had a fabulous experience in the Barbour shop. A wonderful lady (Liz I think) asked if we would like some help - she was amazing. So knowledgeable and friendly and not at all pushy. Very rarely these days do I receive such wonderful customer service. Delightful:)

What a delight the two ladies in the shop were today, particularly Tracey, I was approached and asked if I needed help, I said I was still looking, but complimented me on my handbag and left me to peruse so no sales talk and then at the till while paying for our purchases both ladies were engaging and helpful, we will be back , thank you for a very pleasant shopping experience.

We attended the store yesterday looking for wellies. I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn?t 100%. I wanted to say thank you to the lovely staff member who helped & advised. No hard sell, matched what I said I wanted to the product I tried and ultimately purchased. Fabulous friendly customer service. Will certainly be back when we are next in the area.

The service that you receive wether it be in store or over the phone is in my opinion some of the best I have ever experienced anywhere. Not recommended if you want to have it delivered outside the UK!A few weeks ago I ordered a Barbour jacket and a liner to go with the jacket.A smooth online purchase.. but the delivery went different..Out of the blue I get a message from FedEx that my shipment has been imported from outside the EU (correct, shipping to Belgium) and it is subject to an import charge of 113,99euro (?!? - almost half the price of the order I placed).This charge was never mentioned when placing my order on the website of Outdoor and Country. (-frustration-)I received the order and it seems the XL liner doesn't fit the XL. O&C recommend buying the same size, but after measuring they confirmed the liner measures 13cm larger than the jacket. ("we do advise to choose the same size as the jacket so it is most unusual that this is too big")I contacted Barbour and they recommend buying one size smaller for the liner .. O&C seem to know their business... (-frustration-)I contacted them to exchange the liner and the frustration grew even more. "There will be a charge for delivery and there is a chance custom charges will be applicable". This isn't the proper way to run an online store.. (-frustration-)I'm not even thinking about returning the liner out of fear for a SECOND unacceptably high charge.An unhappy customer, stuck with a liner that is too big.

Navigating the website and ordering online was quick and easy. Delivery, however, was very poor. Missed the delivery date, meaning I had to waste another day waiting in for it. Shame, really, as they have great stuff

Not worth the drive. Buy online to save time and money. Or stop faffing about and go to Cordings, farlows etc. More of a hipster outlet of Barbour but high prices and no real discount. Staff nice though.
