Constantly given a months worth of antidepressants, shoved off and told I?ll need a medication review in 4 weeks for a repeat prescription but when I phone up I?m constantly told its strictly emergency appointments so I?m unable to get my review or antidepressants on time. I?ve given up phoning and would rather suffer lol. Only decent member of staff I spoke to once was Jack Wright- he was wonderful.

Previously I was given an appointment and was told I'm better going private. Great. Didn't bother speaking to salters again until recently and haven't been able to get any medication for weeks. Ring up on the day, they give an appointment for 10 days time. Ring in advance, they say ring up on the day. Better to suffer in silence.

I have been a patient at this practice for 32 years and always had excellent service for my family and myself. COVID has created unprecedented times and challenges. Services have been under extreme pressure, everyone is working so hard. Unfortunately sometimes yes it?s difficult to get an appointment due to extreme pressure, but in an emergency calls are dealt with and appointments offered . It?s so sad when our GP service gets negative reviews, because they are all working hard with the resources they have. There are shortages in the NHS as we are all aware- but please thank them for all their hard work. Thank you all for your excellent service, professionalism and kindness.

This practice is behind the times. Massively inefficient and not embracing time saving methods that other practices have e.g. email consultations or appointment making. Infact you can't even make an appointment by phone as they aren't currently taking any non urgent calls. Even when they are, unless you're unemployed or retired you don't have the 2 hours it takes to get through only to be told all consultations are gone and to phone back in the morning.I have now run out of my prescription and for some that could be a life or death situation. Its totally unacceptable.

The Drs, nurses and all other staff including office staff and secretaries at salters do a fantastic job, even in the face of these difficult times. My experience has been very positive whenever I need themThey always go above and beyond to fit me in and remain calm and helpful always. I think patients should understand that we face very difficult times currently and need to work with the Drs and Nurses to achieve the best experience. Being flexible and prepared to fit their appointments in with the practice rather than their own specific timeframe would demonstrate some consideration for the practice team, as they try very hard to accommodate all of their patients. I just think we should always consider the needs of others rather just ourselves! We all get ill and need help, so remember it's not just about fulfilling your own needs.Keep up the excellent work you all do at Salters - you're doing a great job, in very difficult times!!!

Compete waste of time you're only able to book any type of appointment if you call at 0830 in the morning and manage to get through to anyone. If you call at any other time they can't make an appointment in advance and just tell you to call at 0830 again. Whole place should be shut down and the staff sacked.
