Housekeeping and maids need training on privacy.First of all the do not disturb signs are a 2 way card on the other side says ready for housekeeping and they do not stay in place to show you don't want housekeeping. They really need 2 seperate signs like a lot of other hotels.Housekeeping came in without even knocking which is rude and i had a sign on door not to disturb, it's possible it might have been in the middle as the sign tends to flips but coming out of shower and no knock on the door even though tv fully on and loud.This really is unacceptable no care for customers privacy whatsoever. They should be knocking if in doubt and waiting for a reply. Turned me off staying here again and i tend to be in the area once a month so now booked another hotel.Just to point out the housekeeping woman never seemed to view it as a problem bursting in it looked like it's a regular occurance. There was no embarrassment.The hotel and room itself was ok though.

We do like this hotel. We have returned here 3 times so far on Christmas Eve for 2 nights.Rooms: The room was very tidy & clean. The sofa edge was ripped & prodding, probably just need fixing or updatingFood & drinks: We only went for breakfast, the service was excellent & the staff were so friendly. We had a power cut on the lights in the restaurant but wasn?t informed why? Or how long it would be down for? I think there should have been an announcement of some kind to inform us

Excellent value for money, convenience, facilities and comfort.The bar kicks your night off and being open late, is ideal for a nightcap, then the full buffet breakfast sets you up for the day.Can get busy if the hotel is full, so don't wait too long to get down there.

This is a comfortable Holiday Inn with a close proximity to the M5.Have stayed here a few times over the years.Complimentary buffet breakfast is included with an ample selection of hot items, cereals, toast, yoghurt and fruit.I was recently at a hotel in Birmingham a few days ago and they were charging £18.Regular Holiday Inns (the green ones, not the blue express) charge about £16.50 for a breakfast that includes only a few extra items (mushrooms, fried tomato and fried eggs)....so draw your own conclusions about the value for money.Closeby is a McDonald's with drive thru, which can make getting in or out of the car park a challenge...and a harvester pub.You can also order some pizza in the hotel bar.Staff were friendly and helpful (that's including reception and the cleaners)No complaints here!

With a view of the M5 out of the window, it may lack charm on the outside, but the rooms are comfortable. There's a pub, a McDonald's and a post office yards away and the M5 less than a minute away, if you need a stop over, the friendly staff and good value over the budget options make this the perfect pit stop.

Stayed here whilst on a break. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were excellent!! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate any request. The location was OK for whar we needed....would definitely stay here again.
