Rude bar staff .. waited ages for drinks , very disorganised.. I?d get more staff if you no you are having an event !! Do not appreciate rude comments whilst ordering drinks ! Especially the amount of money we spent !

We attended my grandsons 1st birthday party there .
The room was a great venue to hold such an event , there was a small soft play area for toddlers and babies with plenty of seating for parents . We brought a play tunnel and tent to add to the equipment and we decorated the venue with balloons and added themed touches around the room .
The bar was well stocked and the service was friendly .
We provided our own buffet style food for the guests and they brought their own drinks , so we can't comment on the pubs own food.
The pub is not far from surrounding towns and a nice drive out .
A great venue to hold a private event or to just pop in for a drink or two .

Had my grandsons 3rd birthday party in the hired room, bouncy castle and soft play set up too.
Brilliant the kids loved it and you get good bar service too. 100% recommendation ??

I?ve just celebrated my 40th birthday at the park gate inn. I just wanted to thank Dawn and her team for making it possible! The venue is value for money and a great place for a party!! We will be back for our next celebration ??

Went Sunday forgot to still managed to get but recommend booking as was busy, I had roast turkey son had cowboy burger with starters of prawn cocktail and cheesy garlic bread. Absolutely delicious both starters and mains came out in timely manner and were perfection just wish I had room for dessert. Staff are so friendly and accommodating can?t ask for anything more than that, will definitely be going be for one of the specials nights.

Recently attended my cousins wedding party at this venue. Loved the quirky little entrance covered in foliage at the back, this brings you to a sizeable yet secure beer/play garden overlooking fields (bouncy castle available to hire). The bar staff were ran off their feet but couldn't of been more accomodating and were constantly collecting empties and keeping the place clutter free. With some eye-catching natural wood interior pieces, the covered outdoor area with fairy lights and a good sized area that was utilised as a dancefloor I found The Park Gate Inn functional, modern and rather enchanting ... It has certainly left us with some lovely memories, thank you. Overall a great venue with plently of space for a family/friends get together. P.S check before you take your seat, the resident cat likes to curl up on them ?

Our daughter and son in law had their wedding party here. We were well looked after and it was a great venue for their event. I would recommend it to anyone as the staff were so accomodating and such a relaxed vibe. As a side note. Ascotts did the catering and the food was lovely.

We went to a Wedding party at the Park Gate - what a fantastic place. The staff are hard working and friendly. Their function room is brilliant- a good size and plenty of outdoor space too with lots for children to do.
We will definitely be calling in for a drink.

I had a baby shower at the park gate at the start of June. It was stated by dawn herself it was a refundable £50 deposit, which I am yet to receive back still. I find it quite rude how none of my 3/4 emails have been replied to yet they?re still posting on Facebook. My family and I found the bartender to be working that day was rude and abrupt, I stated this in an email to which I was told ?negative feedback is rare?. It seems like they just don?t want to know if you have any negative feedback or issues. Really disappointed that it?s had to come to writing a review to potentially hear back from the pub.
