I've been driving past this place for the past three years and had never stopped. As I had a colleague with me I was forced to stop whilst he had a pint and as the driver, I had a cola.
As it was a nice day we sat outside for a while, until the number of smokers made it unbearable.
Next time we will have to try the food. A two for one on week days.

A great local with friendly staff and lovely pub grub. Whether you just want a pint or food Ollie, Josh and the team always make you feel welcome! Always our choice for family get togethers whether its birthdays or Christmas.

tried a couple of their all day breakfasts from the Mon-Fri saver menu. I was pleasantly surprised. food served in good time and hot, a good portion and cooked well. The staff were helpful and polite and plenty of sun out in the garden. All in all a nice finish to a chilled day with the bride and mut.

Unfortunately, my Hawaiian gammon was awful, far too much fat on it. My wife's hunters chicken was the worse she's ever had anywhere, by far. The chicken was obviously an old chicken, not fresh at all! The chips & salad weren't great either. Lettuce was brown on the edges. The service was poor too, waiting over a hour for our meal. Nearly finished my second pint before the food came out... To be honest, I'm no chef but I could have easily done so much better than what we were given. For the record, I never complain about food usually, especially posting any bad comments...

Booked a table for two at 4pm 6/10/24 for the Sunday roast only to be told after we had sat down very rudely that they had run out of roast dinners, no apologies at all,first time to the pub and will not be going back there,i had only spoken to them only half before and i asked that we wanted roast dinners and at no time did he say that they were running out of roast dinners,the attitude and arrogance of the staff was appalling,no apologies nothing,,he even carried on serving another customer and literally put us on a table that was on the stairs where everyone is passing either leaving the pub or to use the toilet, absolutely disgusting,I wouldn't recommend this place at all,I live local and so disappointed,we went to another pub namely the swan just down the road and we hadn't booked our table but were made to feel so welcome, something that the old house at home didnt do,dont go hear people

Not happy at all booked a table at 4pm for a Sunday lunch for two people on 6/10/24 To be sat next to stairs and people walking past. To go to the bar to be told there was no roast dinners as sold out. Staff extremely rude and not bothered. Not professional, or apologetic. Will not be returning again

Lovely pub with the most amazing staff. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. Couldn't do enough for you.
We didn't eat so can't tell you about the food but the atmosphere and ambience were great. would love this as my local.
