Was taken here as a birthday treat - food was super all home made but service was awful - no-one came to table to see if we needed anything - no teaspoons, had to ask for fresh plates as remains of Coronation Chicken wouldn?t taste particularly nice with scones, had to wait at counter for hot water for tea. From what I could see staff were more interested in eating their lunch than attending paying customers. Such a shame as tea room, food and gardens were lovely.

Booked an afternoon tea for some friends and my parents. The staff were very polite and very accommodating. We had been allocated a table upstairs but as my mother walks with an aid it would of been quite difficult for her to go up the narrow and quite steep stairs. The staff quickly juggled things around so that we were able to remain downstairs. Highly recommend

Cosy place in a vintage building. Lovely staff, tasty food and coffee. I enjoyed every moment here. Brie and cranberry toastie was delicious, as well as an espresso.

Charming venue and an excellent place for a quick bite to eat for all the family. Couscous salad , ham and cheese toastie or croissant were all eaten with alacrity. Well worth a detour.

Went for afternoon tea with my Wife to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing, and so much of it, we took some home with us.The staff were absolutely lovely, and wished us happy anniversary which was a nice touch. Will definitely be going back.

A little disappointed today if I'm honest, I have been several times before and alway been very impressed with the food and service but sadly not today! No sour dough bread. My daughter was given white bread after requesting brown, the toasties were acceptable but didn't compare to the times we've been before! and the salad consisted of lettuce and cucumber - my husband had 1 half of a cherry tomato and my daughter had no tomato at all. I had on tiny piece of onion and my husband had none at all! It really was very poor today. I am very much hoping this was a one off occasion and that next time will be back to its outstanding best.

We have been here on two other occasions and the food was very good. On this occasion the sandwiches were horrible - far too much mustard on the ham, and considering that it was an afternoon tea, the sandwiches were like door stops also there were only two varieties. There were a lot of cakes, but the quality wasn?t as good as on other occasions It really wasn?t worth the money and I wouldn?t go again.

Stopped in for a pot of tea after visiting beautiful quiet church and to walk around the gardens, 2 young girls very friendly and busy cleaning up ,requested 2 pots of tea which they said would bring out to us at the tables but were served 2 large disposable paper cups and was informed that pots not allowed outside, afterwards saw signs saying this but not informed at time of purchase..find £5.50 overpriced for 2 take away cups of tea

The Malt House at Havington Hall is a pleasant cafe. The indoor space is compact but it has lots of outside picnic tables.Great staff. Lemon drizzle pastry is excellent .
