I would give Bromsgrove Specsavers zero stars if I could. The optometrist who saw my 7-year-old daughter was extremely rude and unprofessional. He did not review her most recent prescription and instead started shouting at me, blaming me for my daughter?s eye deterioration before even completing the eye test.
At her last appointment, it was recommended that she only wear her glasses for school board work, not all the time. Despite this, he berated me in front of both my children, insisting I had not followed his supposed previous guidance. This was upsetting, unnecessary, and very unprofessional.
My daughter?s prescription has only changed by less than -0.50 in both eyes, which is hardly significant, yet he chose to make me feel at fault rather than provide care and reassurance.
I submitted a complaint but have not received any response, which only adds to my disappointment.
I will not be returning to Specsavers in Bromsgrove for either mine or my daughter?s eye care again.

I?ve had both good and bad experiences with Specsavers, but the branch staff at Bromsgrove deserve 5 stars. My son recently broke his glasses, and when we first went in to book a repair, we were told we needed an optician present (even though it was just paperwork). This meant making a second trip the next morning, which felt like unnecessary bureaucracy.
That said, the staff remained calm, polite, and professional throughout?even when I voiced my frustration. They handled the situation far better than I did, and their customer service deserves recognition. In all my other visits, they?ve been just as courteous and professional.

Fantastic store, I?ve been to many stores and this one is by far the best! The optician was a lovely guy and Kerry I believe she?s called. The assistant was very helpful. Both were so friendly and chatty. It was actually a nice morning spent choosing glasses ?.. the staff are a credit to the store

I am disappointed and concerned about my experience at Specsavers Bromsgrove and it has shaken my trust in their eye care. After a close friend lost his sight to macular degeneration, I called Specsavers Bromsgrove to check the specification of my glasses and was alarmed to find out they lack basic UV protection, unlike some pound shop glasses I?ve seen that offer 100% UV protection! Given the serious risks of UV exposure to eye health, this oversight feels unacceptable. While the staff were polite and friendly, I don?t recall being offered this and certainly weren?t made aware of the serious risks. This failure to provide adequate UV-protective lenses at the prices charged and the correct safety advice to customers is unacceptable. I strongly urge Specsavers to improve their standards to ensure customer safety and help prevent further loss of sight, which has totally destroyed my friends life. I hope this review helps protect others in future.
