Got there Friday lunchtime. Food was a while to come, but was OK. The fish was a bit too well done, but the chips and mushy peas were good. The desserts section of the menu I thought could have been better. Still, it was an ok experience. Would I go there again? I wouldn't, but another person might see it differently.

I have Been here since 18:00 for a family afternoon. A Family member had a pair of cargos on. We Was told we have to leave as he had a track suit on (white top and grey cargos)His top and bottoms didn?t even match so therefore not a tracksuit. After the bounce said this, I went to the manager to confirm because hence it was not a tracksuit. He said no you will have to leave. We agreed to finish our drink and go for principle sake and the staff was quiet rude and said ?absolutely not you will have to leave? after questioning why this was now in place after being here for a long period of time. They agreed we could finish our drink and then we had to leave which wasn?t an issue at all! Whilst finishing our drinks, the other bouncer come over and said we can stay if we like. Pretty unorganised to me, after causing a problem for no reason. On the whole this makes no sense and the dress code is based around males which again is very discriminating in its self.

Even ignoring the sticky tables and dated interior, the experience at the S&L Bromsgrove has been the worst in my life (and I am 52!). As we ordered. Half the items we ordered (4 out of 8) were not available - to the point that the menu felt like ?false advertising?. And when I tried to order a non alcoholic cocktail to replace an Appletizer (which was also not available), the (otherwise ?uninspiring?) barman went out of his way to ensure I knew they don?t give a toss about client satisfaction. He refused to serve me the Zombie Zero because a) it may have a tiny bit of alcohol (although the ingredients clearly state there is no alcohol) and b) there was a chance I could give it to my 16-year old daughter! With that much nonsense, my recommendation is to stay away from this place if all you want is a nice lunch.
Response to the Owner's response: I am afraid the facts relayed to you are not entirely correct. They omit the fact that I asked for a Zombie Zero for myself (52 year-old man ordering a non-alcoholic drink) and it was refused because there was a chance I could give it to my daughter. I understand the rules and regulations, but this is not what this is - this is a barman implying that I am lying to him (for a non-alcoholic drink) and going out of his way to be unhelpful. If this is your idea of client satisfaction, it didn't work this time around.

Absolute joke security on the door. I get a call to pick a party of people up, so grab a hoodie given its November and freezing cold. Turn up and they give me hassle that I cant go in to collect them because I don't meet the "dress code". Eventually agrees to let me find them, giving me hassle every 20 seconds. If management want this review removed, you can go next door and ask for Helen to apologise in person.

Went on a Wednesday evening. Ordered two zombie cocktails. bar staff took their time making them but could tell care and effort went in to them when presented to us at our table. On a repeat visit last Saturday the quality of cocktail making and overall knowledge of what was going in to the drinks was poor. Long island ice teas were dashed together with no care, I also note that the three or four spirits listed on the menu which makes the drink were in a premixed bottle and thought it was poor value receiving essentially 12.5ml of each spirit. Plus, the bar tender couldn't confirm whether it was premium branded alcohol, as it states on the menu, actually in this premixed bottle. I'd have been fuming if I had paid 12-13 quid for a single cocktail for it to be this poor. Whetherspoons down the road does better cocktails than here and at least you see what is going in to making your drink. Avoid.
Edit - you state your long island iced tea doesn't state premium brands on your menu - well that's a lie as I've just checked and it states "Smirnoff Red Label vodka, Barcadi
Carta Blanca rum, Gordon?s gin,
Olmeca Blanco tequila, triple sec,
lemon juice and Coca-Cola Zero
Sugar". How can you assure customers that's what is in the drink it it's in a premixed bottle? Also learn your own menu before making statements that aren't true.

Just enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of Soul music old school and modern. Great welcoming atmosphere. Staff are excellent. Looking forward to the next Soul event. Thanks for letting mature people have a special space to entertain.

Very expensive. There's a drinks menu on the table but no prices for anything that is on draught so you get a nasty surprise when you get to the bar!

Liam and the manager couldn't have been more helpful with booking our meal with our voucher. They really did go above and beyond.
Food was yummy and the place itself such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend and will be back for a bottomless brunch and afternoon tea next time.

Came here for bottomless brunch and had an amazing time! Sammie is amazing, was super attentive when we needed a drink and always got the order correct (despite the large quantity of us). Super friendly and high quality place!!!x
