Went into the cafe here and ordered what was described in the menu as a hot meat bap with chips.
What actually turned up was three sausages in a dry bun with a handful of thin french fries smothered with salt, not even proper chips. That cost £14.50p, an absolute rip off.
A very small cup of coffee and a tiny bottle of orange drink cost about 7 quid on top. Didn't see any prices displayed on the cold drinks cabinet either.
I nearly ordered fish and chips, but that would probably turn out to be a couple of fish fingers with salty fries.
It's a nice place here , but I shan't be going back again due to the dishonest menu descriptions and extortinate pricing.

Must admit that the atmosphere at the Jinny Ring is not what it used to be. Not as many craft shops and in my humble opinion the restaurant isn't as welcoming as it used to be. Also seems that with the meals the portion size has decreased while the prices have increase.

Beautiful location - we went for coffee and it was disappointing, as was the too sweet, dry slice of cake.

Lovely location and friendly servers. Coffee was dreadful. When I mentioned it, the lady turned to her colleague and stated: 'What am I supposed to do about it!?'

They have changed the restaurant - bigger choice of hot meals with a menu on the table rather than under a hot plate. Much better. Good value and quality. My only criticism would be the coffee. They would benefit from a proper coffee machine.

Returned here on Monday for a spot of lunch, to find it almost empty even though the fire was roaring and it was cosy. Then I understood why, the food prices seem to have gone up extortionately- a tuna wrap £11.10!!! Sausage & Mash £15.95! We couldn?t believe it. Afraid we won?t be visiting the cafe again and therefore probably not visit the units. Such a shame, it?s a beautiful place, ideal for families but make sure your purse is full!

Disappointed it was closed.

Busy, bustling and welcoming restaurant with a good choice of home made food. A great place to drop in to without a reservation, with beautiful views and a host of craft type shops to browse as well. 5 stars missed as several units were closed.

Tired and nothing of great interest, apart from the glass blowing.

Had a beef with gravy bap and a coffee . The bap was awful ,the coffee was average . Over £20 . Jinny rings get your act together. .....

Not as full with craft as it used to be but still a nice morning out and the cafe was pleasant

We love this place, but we ate here today (November 2024) and found the food quality to have deteriorated and the increased prices now too high.
Food in the café does not represent good value any more.
2 desserts and 2 hot chocolate £20! The hot chocolate made via a machine and not very good.
So sorry to have to post this.
