Our second time there with a family of 7. The portions are generous, the quality absolutely incredible and the prices more than fair. Staff always make you feel very welcome, the real fireplace adds to the homely feel. Couldn?t recommend more and well worth a visit. We?ll be back for sure :)

We came for dinner on a recommendation. Food was excellent and the service great. A lot of care and prep obviously goes into running the Plough. Great food and great value.

Lovely interior, with pictures worth a second look. Friendly, efficient and well timed service. Well cooked food in generous portions. Why only a 4? Menu a bit limited if you don't want a steak or a pie. We thought there could have been more chicken and fish in the respective pies. Starter (fig and goat cheese tart) really excellent, veg (peas, broccoli, carrots) with mains plainly cooked, good enough but nothing really original. We had a very similar meal (1 starter, 2 mains, 3 pints, 2 coffees) at another local pub for almost £15 less: prices here rather higher than average here.

We had lunchtime family reunion which was great. They are not doing rooms at the moment but when I asked they said yes. Made my journey from Lytham St Anne's so much easier. Thank you.Rooms: Simple. Well equipped. Clean. Very helpful.Food & drinks: Good quality. A little pricey. Good service.

We stopped in here for a quick tea and ended up staying for a lot longer. The owner and bartender were very nice people and a gentleman enjoying his drink became our local tour guide. It was the perfect place to take a break, enjoy some local hospitality, and meet some cool people. Would definitely recommend the tea and Pimms (with mint straight from her garden)!

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Plough in the middle of a decent country walk. Lovely food, friendly and efficient staff in a great setting. Recommend booking as the Plough is quite rightly, very popular.

We had a wonderful last minute Sunday lunch here. Food was excellent and service particularly good (polite, attentive and accommodating). We had our large dog and large pram with us and had not booked, yet were very kindly accommodated. Will definitely be back!Banoffee pie was an especial treat!Food & drinks: Excellent Sunday roast - both beef and lamb were delicious. Would particularly recommend the banoffee pie dessert!

Stopped in here on a trip back from visiting a friend and the welcome could not have been better. I had a small dog with me and we were made to feel very welcome inside the pub and we had a lovely lunch in good company, despite the terrible weather on the day. Can't wait to return when the sun is out as the garden looks very nice.

Great old world country pub in the heart of the Cotswolds. We were made very welcome by Becky and her young team for traditional Sunday roast lunch. Both the beef and the lamb were excellent and the vegetable selection was fresh and hot. Our only complaint was the the main course was so large that we could not manage one of the delicious home made desserts. The pub is rather off of the beaten track but well worth seeking out. If you want to eat inside rather that in the marquee booking is recommended.

This was one of the best pub lunches I have had. The food is good old pub classics but cooked to a very high quality. We had home made chicken and ham pie and it really was home made. The chips were triple cooked and delicious. Lovely atmosphere and good service.

A family expedition to the Cotswolds to purse an episode in family history centred around this LH in WW2. Slightly quirky and quickly noted many of the tables were booked for lunch. Welcomed by Becky (owner & licensee), served by Henry, Lilibelle and two others. Big selection on the menu, so we settled for the prawn cocktail and the baked cod. What a treat both were - so much so I am still feeling full 24hrs later. Then rested outside and the expedition resumed. Clearly best to book ahead! If you can choose the dining room select the one at the rear, which is bathed in sunlight. Happy with the bill too, two courses, two prosecco and one white wine. Third person had a lighter lunch, followed by a cream tea - strawberries, jam and cream. Have a look around at the pictures, the yard - with great flowering baskets.
