Visiting Bewdley with my daughter and granddaughter I treated them to an afternoon tea and cake at the Riverside Cafe. What a grave disappointment. My tea was served in a builders mug with so much milk it took on the appearance of a latte coffee. I took it back into the cafe and asked for a tea with less milk. I was informed that the amount of milk in the tea was dictated by the machine making the tea and could not be changed. I tried to be diplomatic and suggested that some of the milky tea was poured away and the cup topped up up with tea. Simple - no, my tea was partly emptied and the mug handed back without being topped up. Thankfully a woman came from the rear of the premises and topped my tea up. I returned to my table by the riverside and my cake delivered. I was then informed that if I wanted any cutlery I would have to go back into the cafe to get it myself. I shall not be returning.

Loved it so much drove all the way from Birmingham exactly 1 yr later to have cheese cake and breakfast again

Amazing breakfast 7.50 for a big one , you can sit inside or outside, in the shade or in th sun. Food quality really good. There is a few spots to park the motorbike, amazing river/bridge view.

Called into this lovely cafe for breakfast it was very well presented and the staff were very friendly my husband said it was the best breakfast he has had for a long time

Superb place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. Sitting beside the river is a real treasure.
The only issue is that the staff should at least acknowledge you when you are standing at the counter. They like to finish what they are doing before they serve you.
A smile would be nice as well.

David Wilson got it spot on. Unpretentious cafe serving good food at a lovely location. We didn't sit outside even though it was sunny, as it was February, so about 3°.
