Embarrassing and unacceptable behaviour from staff.
I paid in full at the point of ordering ? as per their usual process. Despite this, after I finished my meal and left, staff came chasing after me onto the street accusing me of not paying.
This was a very upsetting experience and quite inexplicable as mentioned that they take payment at the point of order. It was humiliating, completely unnecessary, and frankly disgraceful behaviour. The mistake was entirely on their side, yet they saw fit to confront me publicly as if I was trying to avoid payment ? even though the bill had already been settled.
They failed to check their own error before choosing public confrontation and embarrassment ? and even after it was clear I had paid, no apology was offered.
As a South Asian customer, I am left wondering whether unconscious bias played a role in the way I was treated. No customer should have to experience this kind of treatment.
I will never set foot in this cafe again as I don't want to be made to feel a thief when I sit in for a coffee. I would advise others to think twice before dining here. No customer should be treated this way.

A lovely little independent coffee shop where we stopped by for lunch. Excellent service from the staff and the food was great. The kids loved their milkshakes. Definitely will come back here for food. Always good to support your independent cafés.

A bit cramped when busy but friendly service.Parking: Limited time for on Street parking made the visit a bit stressful.

Went today, could see 3 window seats, so we entered and sat down. Overheard a woman who was standing say 'we were going to sit there'. Next minute a member of staff came and said we couldn't sit there because someone else wanted to sit there!! She told us there was a table free elsewhere. If there was another table free why ask us to move, why not ask the other customer to sit at that table. We left and took our custom elsewhere.

On a busy Saturday afternoon we visited your wonderful cafe for coffee and cake! You were extremely kind enough to squeeze us in during a busy time and made us feel welcome and valued. We enjoyed the most scrumptious cakes and coffee! We witnessed an extremely rude lady storm out after being told the seat she had plonked herself on was taken even when you offered her another seat elsewhere in the cafe. May I say you dealt with the situation with grace and up most professionalism. I worked in hospitality for over 10 years and you can't win them all but I'm unsure I would have been as kind and patient as you had been. Thanks for our lovely afternoon visit. We'll be sure to pop in again soon!

There are few coffee shops in Bewdley. Piccolos is just that, tiny, selling the usual cakes, baguettes, milkshakes along with coffee. Very friendly staff, well priced for the area. My Americano (£2.50) was a medium roast, served in a cup/saucer (a double shot would have been nice!).The wifi didn't work, but neither did the phone signal (to tether) 3ft into the shop! Shame - that would be a deal-breaker for returning!
