Had Sunday roast last weekend. We were lucky to get the last 4 meals as we didn?t book and they had sold out. Really lovely staff, great value and plenty of tasty food. The carrot and swede mash and roast potatoes were firm favourites!

I had the takeaway Sunday lunch, i got the chicken wings to start and they where delicious. Then i had a roast with a trio of meats. The food was really top qualty, all home cooked stuff, and done really well. And the portions where enormous. Really excellent value for money.

New management has transformed this pub... our family now come every Sunday for , genuinely, the nicest eat out roast dinner I've ever had ... the cauliflower cheese is worldy and yhe leek and potato soup deserves an award!!!!! Highly recommended! Staff are a lovely family, we feel welcome and well looked after, we always save a little of our roast to take home and nibble on later in the eve... proper home cooked fresh ingredients and the carrot cake with ice cream is dangerous !!!

Lovely roast today, great veggie option and 4 meats for the carnivores. Choice of 5 different vegetables. Veggie gravy served separately. Hot and fresh. Chilled pub with a homely vibe.
3 of us had dinner, with soft drinks for about £17 each.
Booking recommended.

I had the Sunday lunch, very good value, the food was tasty, hot and the service was very good. The only things that let it down for me were the roast potatoes and the parsnips that were not cooked enough for me, and the plate had too much gravy on it, again, that's personal, I don't like my food swimming. Will be going again sometime as value for money is very good.
