Good, clean, fast service, breakfast go-to

Usually you get decent service and you know what you?re getting for the price and it is what it is. The breakfast is good value for money and usually okay. This is what I got because there were no eggs which I wasn?t told, all cold and bacon from the day before - pretty grim!

Great refurb and a good variety of CHEAP beers!

I go into Wetherspoons only for the Abbott ale as it is incredibly cheap and surprisingly good. I would not go in there with my wife, children or grandchildren due mainly to the amount of swearing by the clientele. I also find their behaviour amusing and entertaining.

Looks great since the refurb, staff are attentive, beers is good and food is all you would expect from a Spoons, decent, value for money but don't expect top end grub

After hearing about the refurbishment we had high expectations for our first visit to the Albany but ended up leaving without ordering ? as nothing we wanted from the menu was available. The restaurant was very noisy and not a nice place to relax and eat.

Reasonably priced food and great refill coffee at breakfast (when the machines are working!) Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We usually go for breakfast, so I can't comment on other times of the day.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly in the morning, I'm not sure about other times of the day.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get to the seating area and accessible toilet.

The Albany Palace in Trowbridge has really stepped up its game after the recent refurbishment. The place looks much nicer now, with a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. We visited over the weekend, and although it was busy, the service was still efficient. As with most Wetherspoons, the food and drinks were very affordable, making it great value for money. Definitely worth a visit if you?re in the area!

Food good

If you have extremely low expectations and standards this may well be the place for you. The food is cooked in the finest microwaves and dripping in last weeks oil which tastes like it has been filtered through a sock. The atmosphere is interesting, never have we seen so many previous guests from the Jeremy Kyle Show in one room, what a treat! Ended up leaving due to the locals finding out we have the correct amount of teeth and chromosomes.

Food was okay but staff not overly friendly and I didn't receive a napkin or cutlery for my small plates. Also preferred it before the refurbishment personally. There did not appear to be any ketchup available on this occasion.

Though i am not a fan of the JD Wetherspoons franchise, I must admit that the newly renovated Albany Palace has provided some much needed invigoration to the local community. The staff are always very friendly and helpful - I have a particular fondness of Ti, who persistently goes above and beyond. The space is welcoming and friendly - and also extremely wheelchair accessible. I believe this factor is vital for a business which seeks to serve the local community. Whilst I cannot give it Five stars (generally due to the historic political persuasions of Sir Tim Martin), I must say that this pub is extremely adequate.
