Popped in today on the way home from stourhead I had the Jamaican chicken and the kids had kids meals it was ok all hot etc my Mrs had a veggie lasagna as there wasn't an awful lot of veggie options. It was pretty bland and she didn't eat it. I drive past every day on my way home from work in Frome and think about going in whilst sat in the traffic. Probably won't go back but the staff were friendly enough

Service was,shocking. Waiting 20 mins to even get seated. People behind were seated before us by front of house. My food came out cold partners was hot. Plates stone cold. Bar staff was more concerned with mobile orders on screen than serving people stood at bar for 20 minutes. Wouldn't recommend.

11oz steak was 90% gristly. Almost impossible to cut.

The staff were lovely, but there simply weren't anywhere near enough of them for a Saturday lunchtime, and as a result, service was incredibly slow. Food was pretty good, and the value for money can't be argued. Outdoor play area for the kids was good too. Plenty of parking was helpful as well.
Kid-friendliness: Pretty kid friendly and staff were great with little ones.
Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrances and an accessible toilet were present.

Not enough Staff couldn?t cope but staff tried there best. Should have sent away walk ins. Deal with reserved customers & only a certain amount at a time so chef/cook isn?t overrun. Reserved table for 6 but had problems from start. Plates & food were cold which as a waitress & cook that?s worked in a kitchen the plates should be warm. Food was sent back & reheated in microwave! Chicken wasn?t cooked properly on 1 meal. Food came out at separate times when should all come together kids were served last ( when should have been first hungry kids not happy kids) . Cutlery was dirty. Waited a long time. Will not be back for food again.

Ordered as a group of 11, there wasn't a long wait for food and service was very friendly.
Only downside is the fish was slightly overcooked but everything else was really good.

Not what it was. Food poor, near cold chips, pie overcooked, gravy sliceable. If it wasn't handy and cheap I wouldn't visit.

Terrible food, had to change our order twice as they didn't have what we ordered. The service was horrific all round.
The pub was quiet and I still have no idea why the food took HOURS to come out, plus no one on the bar to order a drinks. We would have left, however u have to pay before hand, not after your meal.
The one group they did have in had disgusting behaved and manners. My son was wasn't happy at all.

Great place to eat, Great choice of menu something for everyone, nice outside play area.
Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian dishes
Dietary restrictions: They always ask if you have any allergies, or other dietary requirements
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids colouring books and crayons provided.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchair both indoors and outdoors

Better than average, but not great. Steak came as I asked for it but the chips were cold and the peas had an unpleasant taste. Staff lovely though. ?
