LAZY STAFF... Is how I would describe my experience at Wickes Swindon. I looked for Flash band but couldn't see it ... When I went to a very quite checkout area there was one young woman on the checkout and one woman just sat down doing very little..I mentioned I could not find the product... the one sat down simply told me where to look ...I still could not find it ..I went back , eventually the cashier woman looked with me ..She could not find the product..She checked the computer and it turned out they had 9 possibly in the warehouse but I was told I would have to click.and collect and it could take up to 8 hours ...Yes ..like I am happy to hang around for 8 hours ...I tried Screwfix down the road ...Their Flash Band is also in the Warehouse but they got the product in an instance.....Sloths appear to have more energy than some members of Wickes Staff !!!!

I'd avoid this place for bathroom fittings. Poor workmanship. Once work is completed they won't resolve issues found like they promise you when purchasing.We had lighting fixtures pop out, tiling done to a level that makes you feel like it's a Mario kart map.message we got back? After complaining"I have spoke with the store manager today who has advised that the workmanship in your installation is all up to standard and that they would not be sending anyone out to do any remedial works." What a joke.

Greeted at the till on entering and leaving the premises. Good stock levels for the job I needed. Easy to shop at the time of day. Lots of parking.

Tried to get a bathroom re-done in September 2022, we cancelled after 6 months and it took another month to get our nearly 40% deposit back! Their contractor cancelled on us over a question of liability insurance and they didn't seem to be able to arrange another. After the initial design with Tom (who was the only helpful person in this) Communication was virtually non-existent and we had to chase them for everything. The Swindon store manager chose to ignore phone calls and emails. Terrible experience.

Parked up. Took a trolley from the park next to the door. Placed Oscar on the trolley and went in. Two bags of postcrete found and back to the tills. Employees personable but came across as knackered. Exit door was jammed partly open. You know what you are getting at Wickes and to this extent, it?s like visiting a much older uncle.

Ordered our bathroom in October 2022 for a January 2023 fit. Wickes hadn't managed to get their act together to order all the parts, so it held the job up. The fitters did a great job with what they had. By the end of the fit the shower screen still had not arrived so the manager from the show room brought over a temporary shower curtain for the weekend (she forgot to bring curtain rings so at 6pm on a Friday night the fitter did what he could and used cable ties to secure it). The screen arrived to us in mid February 2023. It is still in our garage waiting to be fitted (it is May 2nd 2023).Customer services at Wickes HQ say they have been trying to organise the screen fitting but I cannot understand why a fitter cannot be organised.I found the sales and showroom staff at Swindon attentive when they wanted to sell and make a nice commission from us but they are good at ignoring emails and calls when there is any challenge or issue that needs any kind of post-sale customer care, this was left to the team of fitters when I really don't think it was their responsibility but nonetheless they had the best customer service skills from the team in Swindon.So, by all means buy a bathroom from Wickes because it is good quality and a fair price, but I'd avoid Swindon at all costs or if you do make sure that you have unlimited storage space and patience for a job that won't get finished at any reasonable pace.

Avoid using wickes at all costs to deliver items!! They use Tuffnells to deliver.Items were left on the road! DID NOT knock on the door to let us know! Just dropped them there and left... not even on the side walk!! Never using either again

We all know that Wickes are a super place to buy from. HOWEVER! You must retain your receipts for anything and everything. Every time.As they are unwilling to exchange any items without the receipt. Understand that it is not the cashiers (or customer services) fault and this is due to certain customers causing the problem for the majority of honest customers.Pretty poor that their tills are years behind most other shops and they are unable to search for transactions to help their customers.I?ll be heading to ScrewFix from now on as they issue electronic receipts against purchases.Thanks but no thanks Wickes
