I bought want I thought was a mechanical pencil but when I tried it out when I got home, it was actually one of the pens. Even the box said mechanical pencil.

Went today on bank holiday. I understand the post office is closed.
I needed some bubble wrap, and they had it behind a barrier due to the post office being closed. I attempted to move barrier as I only needed said bubble wrap.
Once I moved a barrier, a colleague come over telling me off. I explained I needed to get something, and she rudely told me it's closed.
I told her why have bubble wrap behind a barrier.
She then went in an angry manner and grabbed it for me.
Train your colleagues with patience and respect.

Very bad customer service.. one of the sales Assistant and the team leader showed very bad customer service. Really disappointed. I went there for post a letter and they asked us to buy a tape cost £2.99 to paste a envelope by complaining if not it is not accepted in a very rude manner.

The lady working today wasn't very helpful, I bought some pens and tippex and she wouldn't serve me the tippex as I didn't have ID (I'm 28!) but that's fine, that's my fault! She said her jobs not work losing which is fair enough, I'll still buy the pens. The pens had a security tag on it, the lady said it wouldn't set the alarms off as she couldn't get it off apparently, it kept setting the alarms off as I was walking out the door, went back and she said she hasn't got a magnetic thing to get the security tag off? Funnily enough, her colleague had one and managed to get it off for me so the alarms didn't go off. Just goes to show the lady who served me really couldn't be bothered to do her job properly.

In the website and add you says it opens at 8.30am but the actual shop opens at 9. This is completely miss guiding your customer. Either change one of the timings.

How has WHSmith not gone bankrupt yet? The prices are outrageously high and their own brand products are very low quality.I headed into the Swindon store to get some wrapping paper and ended up paying £3.99. When I got home and opened it I was surprised that the paper was transparent, thin and easily torn.Avoid these scammers and head to the Card Factory in town instead. You'll pay much lower prices for the same low quality goods.

Had a very bad experience at this store on Thursday 22/06/2023. I had gone there to top up my electric and gas card. The lady at the counter was so rude , I don't think I will ever step in that place again. Unfortunately she was the store manager which was told to me by the other staff working there. Don't know how she got that post with such bad customer service skills.

Awful customer service, there are never any staff to help, this review is purely for the POST OFFICE as this has been terrible over the last few months. As a business we bank daily to sometimes come into the store to read a sign there closed again. Not only to you have to wait for ages and I mean ages, when you arrive at the 1 counter you don't get a sorry for waiting, nothing.
