Today I bought fries with cheese. It's just incredible. A large box (almost ±560 grams) of mega tasty potatoes with cheese. This is not some semi-finished product for you. These are real potatoes that melt in your mouth. You can't tell how delicious it is!

Had chips from here recently and I cracked my molar tooth likely due to a large piece of rock salt this chippy uses. I now have a small hole in my tooth which will cost £140 to fill. Had a look at the rest of the chips and we found some small circular hard bits 'embedded' within some of the chips. That put the rest of my family off their chippy dinner and unfortunately we will never get food from here again.

Thankyou for saving my last fish and chips in the UK experience. Another Fish and Chip shop in the area was a let down with pre frozen chips. Really enjoyed my chips here thankyou

The recent experience at Redhouse Plaice Fish & Chips has been regrettably underwhelming, marked by a stark reduction in portion sizes that's hard to ignore. This issue has been most glaring in their kebab offering. Priced at £5.90, the kebab offered a disappointing amount of meat that could be equated to about £2 worth. The meat, while flavorful and well-seasoned, was embarrassingly sparse, leaving a significant void in the meal that bread and vegetables alone couldn't fill. For the cost of the dish, one expects a much more substantial serving. While the classic fish and chips still feature the perfectly cooked fish and delightfully crispy chips, the diminishing portions overshadow these merits. The sense of satisfaction that should follow a hearty meal at a reputable fish and chips shop is conspicuously absent. The significant reduction in portion sizes at Redhouse Plaice, particularly in the kebab, leaves you feeling short-changed. It's important for the establishment to reevaluate their portion sizes to ensure their customers feel they are getting good value for their money.

Place has turned into a joke, its either not open or cash only. Staff couldn't care either. 3 wasted journeys. I'd rather take the time and got to tawhill atleast you know they will be open.

The food was good tbh, but the customer service is really bad. I came in today and one of the girls was really rude and grumpy! I feel sorry for the man was working with her today. Really needs new staff otherwise you gonna lose lots of customer.

Lovely chip shop, food always fresh, however consistently let down with orders not being correct and items missing, usually would go back and rectify but tonight I just didn?t want to go back out in the weather, when an order is written in front of you, how can you miss items off it!!!

We ordered a small doner kebab in pita bread of just eat for £7.50 ish. Only it's around £5. I feel ripped off if complety honest. There was hardly any meet and the bread was very small. It defo wasn't worth the cost. You need to put alot more mesr in it to make cost effective. I'll order else where should I want a generous size potion for the price.

Food has gone completely downhill and God forbid if you mention this to the manager you will be spoken to like rubbish-a bit like how he speaks to his staff which makes you feel very uncomfortable as a customer. He is pretentious and gives the impression he is there for the money, not to provide decent food and will not take an once of constructive criticism. Feel sorry for the young kids he employs to boss around
